Where do I begin....First of all, if I could rate this place lower than low, I would. I read the other reviews and they are CORRECT. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS IF YOU LIVE YOUR LOVED ONE!!!!!!! My brother has been here for 4 days and has fallen out of bed on 3 different occassions. We did not feel comfortable leaving him there w/o any way to communicate with us so we left him with a cell phone. The staff are VERY RUDE AND UNINTELLIGIBLE. AND THAT'S BEING NICE. My brother had a stoke and has regressed in the small amount of time that he has been there. The place is VERY DIRTY. Mold growing up the walls and it seems to be ok with the staff and directors. People in the hallways basically falling over each other. I seriously do NOT understand how in the world the place is still running?? My brother has to have PT 5 days a week and has missed because the nursing staff has not had him up and dressed on time. The main reason he is there is to get the therapy to regain his strength to walk again and they are the ones who told us that the 1st 3 months of therapy is crucial to his recovery. When he fell out of bed again this morning he lay on the floor for over 15 mins b4 anyone came to check on him. Yes, he rang his call bell. He says that they will come and just turn it off or keep it where he cannot reach it if he need it. I'm beyond livid because I have spoken with Al, The guy who claims to run the place many times and things are still ridiculous. My brother is in pain from the falls and they have yet to offer him pain meds. There were 3 of us (family members) visiting yesterday and a nurse just walked into the room (w/o knocking) with a urinal full of urine (not my bros or his roommates) went into the bathroom and dumped the urinal in their toilet!!! I was TOTALLY DISGUSTED!!! I gave her a 'are you serious' look and I thought maybe she got the hint but you wouldn't believe that about 2 hours later she did it again!!! I tried multiple times to get the nursing staff to help, the director or anyone that would listen. The guy from housekeeping seemed to have a heart and tried to assist us with getting my brother the things that he needed. Even trying to get clean linen for his bed was a terrible ordeal and the nurse had the meanest most disgusted look on her face as if we were bothering her. I told her that I had no problem making his bed but she said 'no.. I know this is a lot but there are so many other things to tell. The knats and ants in his room by the head of the bed from old urine underneath the filthy mat in front of his bed was a nice surprise. We were trying to figure out where in the world the bugs were coming from and why did we lift up that mat?!?! Talk about a smell that could knock out a bull...My brother feels that the staff are taking advantage because he had a stoke and cannot walk and talks with a slur but you best believe that his mind is still there. He has heard the staff outside his door talking about him to each other. He didn't want us to say anything because he feels that they may retaliate on him when we are not there. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! PLEASE SHUT IT DOWN!!!

A family member of mine is currently staying at Bel Pre Rehabilitation, he is completely immobile. The entire facility is filthy, walls, baseboards, toilets, sinks, tubs, floors, windows, window seals, curtains, blinds and pretty much every inch of the facility is covered in caked up dirt and filth. The meals are below edible, the bread he was served had mold on it. The staff is rude and inconsiderate. They are more concerned with laughing and playing around on the clock. My family members medicine is ALWAYS administered atleast one hour late, even if we complain multiple times we are told, "we have to go in order"... Which I understand but if patients are receiving medicine an hour or more late then perhaps the solution would be to start much earlier. My family members fluid bag has been empty and not replaced since I have been here, over two hours. I am calling and reporting this facility to the health dept and the medical corporate facilities. This is poor living conditions for patients and the staff is rude and always tardy with meals, medicine and check ins. I really feel this place needs to be shut down immediately. No one should have to live in these conditions, especially a patient. I wish I could give 0 stars, because there is absolutely nothing positive I can say regarding this facility. I sympathize with anyone who is a patient here. Please shut this place down. The employees are rude, irresponsible, tardy with meals, medicine and check ins. The place is covered in filfh and dirt from the ceilings to walls, the bathroom smells of urine and feces and is stained yellow and coated and corroded with dirt. Even the meals are being distributed late and expired food. They are not taking care of my family member what so ever. I had to come in and empty his urine bottle, rinse it out along with his bucket. I had to clean up all the trash in his room, empty his trash. I came in and had to change his sheets and pillow cases... Absolutely despicable! I have never seen such a dirty, poorly run rehabilitation facility and I will be calling the corporate office and health dept. These people deserve so much better and they are being neglected and treated poorly.

My father was in MD when he had a stroke (we live in PA) and after being discharged from Shady Grove Hospital was put into Bel Pre (without our knowledge). Minus the helpfulness of one doctor from that facility, the rest of the staff made communication difficult to find anything out about my father. Only after we submitted a letter from my attorney via fax, did they even bother to inform us of the situation. My father also had stage 6 kidney failure, a urinary tract infection, and a stomach infection. They milked his medicare, did not bother to cane or walker train him (since he is a fall risk), removed the catheter he had (before it was supposed to be removed on the 28th of march ), saying he was capable of voiding, and discharged him from Bel Pre on the 25 of March (against his doctors recommendation that he stay until at least the 28th) to make 5 HOUR drive to Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania! They told me to my FACE that he was good to travel, that 3 days bed rest and the prescribed medications along with a doctor's followup was all he needed. After one hell of a trip back to PA (5 hours), him attempting to void every 15 min (PAINFULLY), he was admitted to the emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital and is there right now hooked to IV's, antibiotics, and a CATHETER to drain 1.2 LITERS of fluid that were in his bladder! Furthermore, we were waiting in the emergency room at Butler Memorial for 8 HOURS while the staff there fought with the Bel-Pre staff over the phone to get any relevant info. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES THERE. THEY SHOULD BE SUED AND THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. I am calling medicare and reporting them.
