We had a great time at Vasilki restaurant tonight. Very good delicious food, pleasant waitress, amazing atmosphere. The music and singing was excellent. We danced and highly recommend!  Parking: Plenty of parking  Kid-friendliness: We went with our 3 kids 10-15 years old. Kids loved it

Very interesting authentic Belarusian food. We brought my friend’s wife who is from Belarus and she was impressed.  Give this place a try if you’re looking for something different. My Mother-in-law who is Russian heard about this restaurant from some of her friends. She begged my husband and I to try it on one of our trips to Chicago. The restaurant was easy to find and had ample parking available. We arrived close to 6pm and the place was almost empty. However, given that Russians tend to dine late we didn't mind the emptiness. The waitress brought menu that were written in Russian which for my husband was fine but as I can neither read nor speak Russian it was a problem. I asked for an English menu which clearly did not have everything on it. the Russian menu was a total of 4+ pages while the English menu was 1 double sided page. I ordered Mushroom soup, Chebeuriki and some pork and chicken cutlets. Everything was delicious by the end we were stuffed! Oh an appparently one of the few words of Russian I know Spaceba was said in such a horrible accent it amused our waitress!

We drew all the way from a different state to check out this place and their food. When we got there after 4 pm, there was a sign saying they would be closed until 3 pm that day which should’ve been an issue for us since it was way past 3 pm. We walked in and have been asked to leave quickly due to a private event they’ve been hosting. The manager or whoever that lady was didn’t even offer us to get our food to go. Not even a hint of Belarusian hospitality. Extremely disappointed. Wish I could recommend this place but I can’t be sure you won’t be asked to leave either.

Good food. Place lacks traditional Belarusian ambiance like music and costumes. I’d come back only because there are no other options for Belarusian cuisine.Dine in: Yes

So this wk I came to the restaurant thinking it might be a Greek restaurant. As I walked into the restaurant there were two ladies by the bar/cashier booth. I really have to say that for the first time I felt like I was  not welcome. The moment I walked into the restaurant and the 2 ladies saw me... omg their faces said it all... I asked if this was a Greek restaurant and they seemed upset and they said the type of restaurant they are. I just want to let the owner know that whether they are having a bad day or if someone comes and asks if they are a restaurant, to at least show the people they are welcome.

I’m from Springfield illinois and 3 of us went to dinner at Vasilki! Love this place! Food was very nice and service was wonderful! We will stop by when we visit Chicago next time! See you soon!

Wanted to post this one as a i just had a party last night there with friends and family. Our experience was over the top - exceeded my expectations for sure. We are not new to this restaurant for sure, but last night's food, decor, service was exceptional. Owner was very helpful in choosing the right food package, no issues with customizing my requests. Food was very, very fresh, looked and tasted amazing. Our waiter was amazing - everything was on time, freshly served, plates were changed very frequently. Table was served with a lot of attentions to the details.

nice place, friendly and attentive staff.  Very tasty dishes, the honey cake is wonderful, the cakes are moist, not cloying
