I write this out of love for my new home ATL, and wanting Bell st. to be the best in GA. Order for 2, $33.75: - pulled chicken burrito w red sauce, cilantro, side sour cream - smoked pork XL burrito w chipotle sauce and sour cream - guac & chips I wanted this to taste incredible. I wanted it to match the positivity and excitement of the guy working the register. It did fall short. I read some other reviews that complained about lack of flavor, and I don’t think that’s the problem exactly. Here’s where I think they’re stumbling because they’re doing LOTS right. This is a good spot that could be great. - seasoning is all over the place. Super salty guac, salty chips = sickeningly salty, then in the burritos, unsalted rice/beans neutralizes all the flavor! - Someone just needs to buckle down and be like “here are the measurements/weights for each dish”. Right now seems like they’re eyeballing everything? Not sure. Frustratingly, I couldn’t register smoke or chipotle flavor from my XL burrito. - overall texture of burrito contents was like mashed potatoes. pulled chicken/pork, gummy rice, over cooked pinto beans = eating mush. Leave some life in those beans, or switch to black! - finally, I’m not sold on the “protein” selections. It’s like going to a clothing store and buying a shirt without knowing the size/color/fit. Selfishly, I want to see chicken tinga, carne asada, al pastor, etc. red ain’t a flavor. I would rate this 0.62 Chilacates* No pun intended, but you gave the ingredients for a truly outstanding menu, but you’re squandering it with lax execution and overthinking the menu. * Chilacates, in Jamaica Plain/Boston, MA, is not to be topped, and represents 1.0 on a 0-1 scale
Such a refreshing place to eat that’s NOT a chain. The decor was very cool! I had a chicken burrito bowl with chips. You can tell all of the ingredients are fresh and cooked to order. I got my order within a few minutes of sitting down. The workers were friendly and happy to be there. The only negative I could think of is that the Parking was iffy as you parked behind the restaurant in a very hilly lot. Try this place!
We had the pleasure of eating with Bell Street Burritos this evening and it was absolutely amazing. The service was extremely professional and very helpful with their menu options. I had the small brisket burrito and my wife had the veggie quesadilla. Both were outstanding and plenty of food to fill us up. They have several sauce options available to choose from to add to your meal. Great atmosphere, fast service and hot fresh food. Do give them a try next time you are in the area. You may also check out their other locations within the Atlanta area. Had to add to this review as we stopped in the other day for lunch and of course it was amazing. We had the pulled pork burrito at the suggestion of Ceasar the manager. They did a great job getting us our food hot and fresh. Thank you to the staff for always making each trip in a wonderful experience. Ceasar and his team as AMAZING!
#vegetarian I had the Beyond Meat Burrito - mostly beans, rice & some meat. The first couple of times I had it - it was really tasty, but this time it was just thrown together, with not much meat & not flavorful. It is a change from Chipotle as they have add ins like broccoli, potatoes, etc. That's all I've tried there, other dishes may be better. I wanted to love it - but won't return. Best wishes to their business though.
Nice spot for a quick n cheap meal on Peachtree Rd at the north end of Midtown. The place had a strong smell of cooking when I walked in. Didn’t love that and so ate outside. You order n pay at the counter and then take your # to table and they bring it to you. The tofu burrito bowl I ordered was delicious. White rice only no brown. The young guy who took my order was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend for a quick filling meal.
This genuinely was one of my favorite restaurants, but lately the quality issues and inconsistencies are too much. The photo I added is supposed to be an XL pulled chicken quesadilla with EXTRA meat. There is less than a spoonful of meat. My boyfriend and I have been coming here at least once a week for a year he has been eating here even longer than that and I don’t know if we’ll come much longer. The quesadillas used to consistently be almost an inch thick even without ordering extra meat. Over the past few months, they have consistently gotten smaller and smaller. I started ordering extra meat to combat that and they still aren’t even what they were originally. I don’t think anyone can look at that picture and think it’s “extra” anything. I essentially paid $15 for a cooked tortilla. It’s disappointing because we loved getting food from this place - but we feel ripped off lately and especially on this visit.
Having driven past this place many times over the years, I never found a compelling reason to venture in until the other day. My first impression was how friendly the crew working there was. The menu is interesting. The inside clean and the decor historically relevant to the location. I have a real love for tacos and Mexican style food, so I was eager to get to know the menu. I ordered a variety of tacos, to get a good measure of what they offer. Everything seemed fresh and tasted as much. The quantity of food was adequate for the price. No issue there. My big draw back was in the flavor. It was not to my fancy. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the food, from a quality perspective. It all comes down to taste. I left satisfied, just not gushing with desire to return. I wish them continued success.
I love the burritos. I got a quesdilla delivered today and the way its packaged needs to change. By the time it got to me it was so soggy that I couldn't eat it. You still get 5 stars because it's a small fix and the food is good.Food: 5/5
Food was just what we were looking for. Great portions, packed with flavor. I ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage , eggs, and cheese. It was so flavorful. The jalapeño cheese grits were creamy with a slight heat. **Add the green sauce to everything, it is delicious! The service was friendly and attentive. I will definitely return. This is a perfect spot to bring the friends for brunch, lunch or dinner.
Lady who took my order was nice. Order came out quickly, so it was a nice grab and go. And there was free parking right behind the restaurant! +I was able to build my own bowl to how I wanted it. Chicken wasn’t dry & it was a good portion. Just make sure to double check your order before leaving. I paid for sour cream & they forgot but apologized when I brought it to their attention. Would come back!
