This is my go to spot. The food and service are always excellent and tonight was no exception . Called yesterday and Made a reservation for my birthday dinner the “big 40” . When we a party of 5 arrived tonight we got there a half hour early . We went to the bar and after 10 minutes I noticed the place starting to fill up so I decided to check in . The hostess couldn’t find my reservation . We went through a few names but none were mine. I even looked on my phone when I had called the day before to double check. She was more than accommodating and said she would totally get us in. After another 15 minutes at the bar she came and grabbed us and seated us. It was amazing service and quick thinking and she’s very good at her job.
The food was good, with prices that were middle of the price range for restaurants. The atmosphere was nice if a little dark for day-time when sky's are clear. Our server was decent but not attentive to refills. Parking: There's not a lot of parking, with NO crosswalk to speak of. Wheelchair accessibility: There are only a couple of Handicapped spaces plus there isn't a crosswalk that is Handicapped friendly.
Came here for lunch around one o'clock on a Tuesday and it was packed! What a lovely thing to see. This was my first time after many recommendations by friends and family. We only had a short wait before being seated and waited on diligently. We ordered a reuben only $9 and was not charged for an extra side of Thousand Island with well-done fries and an order of chicken french adding artichokes for only $1!. Both are pictured. Portions were excellent and flavors were great, no complains whatsoever. Restaurant was decorated nicely for the holidays as were the servers. Lastly, not pictured, I got a cannoli to go, which was just as wonderful as everything else! Thank you Bella Pasta!
They were out of tripes, and it was the main reason I visited this place, so a little disappointed. Side salad comes with a little too much canned olives and not enough tomatoes. Dressing and blue cheese crumbles were both good and lettuce was fresh. Bread was good. Order eggplant-parm from app menu and tasted great. Tried Sicilly's special, pasta was good, however water seperated from either pasta or the sauce made meat a little soggy on the plate. A lot of food for the price. Wait staff were great and attentive. Good value for the price based on the amount of the food.
Awesome service the staff was so nice and polite. My kids do not like people and they liked our waitress. The food was great I'm a picky person and I have no complaints. The kids meals were big for the price I'm sure a kids meal would have filled me up. And prices are not that bad either. We will definitely be back when in Rochester again.
One of my favorite places to stop into, the four cheese ravioli French is to die for! The calamari Sicilian is delicious as well! The bartender Jill was the sweetest!
Ordered $10 antipasto. Received exactly two each DELI SLICES of salami, capicola, and provolone. Also 2 plain non-marinated artichoke heart halves, a few olives, pimentos, banana pepper slices, cucumbers, and tomatoes. NO dressing whatsoever. This is not antipasto. Especially for an Italian place. This is some sub sandwich cold cut slices with a few vegetables thrown in over a bed of iceberg lettuce with absolutely no dressing. For those that don't know, antipasto is supposed to be thick chunks of cut up cheese and meats with assorted peppers and olives. I don't even know how they've gotten away with passing this off as antipasto. I can't speak for their other food, as I haven't tried it.
The food and service were fantastic and for the most part was gluten free friendly. It would be great if they offered gluten free rolls/pizza/bread options. The only thing I was disappointed about was they did not have the gluten free dessert option that was on the menu. I was so excited to get dessert and then to be told they didn’t have it was disappointing. The others in my party, not needing gluten free, raved about their meals.
We are lucky having so many Italian Restaurants here in Rochester. Bella Pasta is another good one. Courteous staff, good food. The couple we are with suggested as they go there on regular basis. I had chicken parm over angel hair pasta, my wife had the stuff shells. Says they were delish. Another had the haddock french, looked good,was told is good. Cold beer Parking: Plenty
Great Italian American food! We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The wait staff were friendly. However, there was an older gentleman, who seemed like a manager or possibly the owner, who was yelling at all of the staff in front guests. It was so blatant and loud that there was no way we could have even ignored it. It’s very hard to find staff let alone encourage them to stay working in the food service industry, so I’m not sure why the management would be screaming at them when they were all acting professional and seemed to be working very hard during a dinner rush. Totally unprofessional and unwarranted. In summary, great food, great wait staff, disrespectful and unprofessional management.
