Complete nightmare. I told them meat makes me physically sick so the kitchen thought it was okay to just pick the big pieces of chicken out. I noticed chunks of chicken but tried to eat around them. I threw up from eating it, and they made me wear an IV because I threw up which seemed a little extreme. You know they charged me for the food, and the IV. First entire day, through 4 shifts of nurses nobody watched me pee, then all of a sudden this new nurse comes along and decides I need to be watched even though nobody else did. I think she was just a pervert. I tried to kill myself and instead of being compassionate they treated me like a criminal. They barely talked to me and when they did they were rude. I asked about AMA, (against medical advice) just asked about it and they all got angry and one nurse even yelled at me. They didn't give me any aftercare instructions at all. I had 13 stitches and they told me nothing about it. For over a week I spent in hospitals they never gave me Vitamin E or cream for my stitches so my skin got very dried out and now my scars will be worse because that was vital healing time. They didn't tell me how to wash it, when to get the stitches out, nothing. They did the bare minimum at this hospital. They also shot me up with drugs without asking me. I'm 29 years old. I asked for some pain medicine and something for my stomach due to the chicken and instead they gave me a sleep drug. I didn't find that out until hours later. Instead of making my pain go away, they put me to sleep. I was a voluntary patient. I walked in of my own free will, but they treated me like I was going to run away or kill myself at any second. They made everything worse and I was shown not one ounce of compassion, right after trying to end my own life. I asked for someone to talk to and was told they aren't a psychiatric hospital. I said I just need someone to talk to, please. They told me to talk to my nurse. So again I tried to talk to him, and he told me he was busy doing his school work. Then proceeded to converse with another employee about restaurants and video games for at least 30 minutes.

Went into ER with fluttering heart. Turns out I was in A Fib at age 25!! They took me back fast. Hooked me up to machines and kept me over night for monitoring. Nurse Mary-Ann in the ER was amazing! Super caring individual. The doctors were okay. But after going to St. Luke's for a second A Fib scare, I found out that Belton Regional Doctors should have done more testing. It was not my heart but it was all related to the thyroid. Overall a great nursing staff! Also Dr. Van Jones in cardiology was awesome! But the ER docs seemed indecisive on how to help my heart. I recommend St. Luke's for heart problems. I would however go back to Belton Regional for something less serious.

I've been using this facility for years. They offer most services and what they don't cover, they offer referrals for. Check-in is easy and there is a help desk, plus it's normally staffed with volunteers to help you through the facility.

I’m normally a pretty healthy person and going to the E.R. for the first time as an adult was frightening for me. After speaking with the rep at the desk I was seated for 2 minutes and went back. Nurses where amazing and walked me through what they where doing and why. Luckily my issue wasn’t as serious as initially thought and the NP was able to explain why I had certain symptoms. A few years ago Belton was considered a joke but it seems they have made a 180. I will be going back if I have any other future concerns but let’s hope not!

Great care. No negative experiences. The staff and physicians are the best. I have had several procedures there and would recommend this hospital on all levels.
