Hands down the worst attorney I've ever hired or even heard of. Mr. Bennett is nothing more than a common Thief. He will take your money and let Pam do all the lying and foolery. Aside from being lied to he failed too file motions I had to ask him to do. It seemed I knew more about the law then he did. He failed to contact and subpoena my witnesses. I was not aware of this until days before the trial because Pam lied to me stating he had done such task. Then tried to bully me into a pretrial diversion. Yelling at me as if I were a small child. I've filed with the bar association as well. He is a poor excuse for what an attorney should be. Violated my texas constitutional rights and refused me my file. To this day I still have not seen my discovery packet. Another violation of my rights  refuses to refund my retainer funds much less an itemized bill for his one court appearance  one phone call and lack of remembering who I was everytime I came thru the door. Check into a lawyers case habits. It seems Mr Bennett has a history of excepting cases & dropping out before a trial.

The legal assistant (Rene) is not really very good at keeping me in the loop with my case. 2 weeks passed before I learn that they acted on my behalf. She was fired and I got another legal assistant took over my case (Debbie). She wasn't much better. She accused me of causing all of the delays while promising to forward all of my questions to Kate. I never received any responses from Kate through either of her legal assistants.

In the end, I fired this attorney and did the work myself.

I would not recommend this attorney unless you want to go to court and have this spend a lot of time there for you.

My experience with Kate Bennett was horrible. Going through a custody battle is hard enough as it is. It is worse when you have an attorney and her office staff treating you as horrible as Kate Bennett did.  I would receive information from Kate's office and when I would stop by and ask a question about it they treated me as if I were a criminal. I left her office crying every time. I would not trust her for anything and she was the one appointed to represent my son, not by my choice either. I would not recommend Kate to my worst enemy.
