I took a proctored exam here on 10/23. The computer displays and Chrome font settings are poorly configured. In Chrome, type renders blocky and stretched, with large artifacts in the glyphs, making it hard to tell symbols like = and - apart from each other (= renders as a squished box, * renders as a dot).

One of the test center employees took a quick look at multiple computers in their test center after I complained, but didn't fix anything. She insisted that's how they look and didn't even try to fix the problem. I'm not sure she understood the problem, and it seemed to be present on many, if not all, machines. 

I was able to complete my exam, but it was difficult due to the poor  typeface rendering on these machines. (No, it's not me - I have 20/20 vision and I've worked in software development for over a decade on dozens of my own and colleagues' computers, in countless environments and font size settings. It's definitely not "just me".) 

COD should have someone who is competent with computers take a look at what's going on. Computer 30 is the one where I took my exam. The problem was noticeable on any text that Chrome renders.

I had an opportunity to stop at the Berg Instructional Center, 425 22nd St, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 and enjoyed my visit. Very nice instructional space for all students.
