Bergen Diyanet Camii ve Kültür Merkezi, Türklerin ABD’de en yoğun olarak yaşadığı New Jersey eyaletinin Cliffside Park şehrinde yer almaktadır.
New York Başkonsolosluğu ve Diyanet Ateşeliği’nin izinleri ve yardımlarıyla, mülkiyeti, idaresi ve kontrolü Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı’na bağlı olan cami projesi bölgede yaşayan Türk işadamı, esnaf ve profesyonel yöneticilerin öncülüğünde başladı. Turkish American Reliogus Foundation adı altında kurulan dernek ile caminin çalışmaları devam ettirilmektedir.
Bina, cami ve kültür merkezi olarak yeniden çizilen mimari çiziminde, ibadetin yanı sıra bölgedeki Türklerin diğer sosyal ihtiyaçlarına da karşılık verecek şekilde tasarlandı.
Bina bünyesinde ABD’de doğan çocuklara Türkçe ve ABD’ye yeni gelen ve dil öğrenmede sıkıntı çekenler için İngilizce ders vermek için iki sınıf dizayn edildi.
Projede cenaze hizmetleri için morg, binanın bulunduğu bölgede bir park yer alıyor.
