I can't say enough good things about Berks East. My daughter has been going there since she has been 3 years old and it has been like a second home to her in more ways than one. She is currently 14 years old and a competitive Level 9 gymnast with a very bright future in the sport. I am so thankful for the knowledge of the coaches and their commitment to these young athletes.

We would highly recommend Berks East Gymnastics to any family. Berks East has taught our daughter the importance of hard work, dedication, time management and the team work. She has been a part of the Berks East family for most of her childhood (12+ years) and has had the opportunity to train with dedicated coaches who have allowed her to work at her own pace and set her own personal goals. The coaches know and respect her strengths as well as her weaknesses and have helped her overcome many obstacles throughout her gymnastics career. She has become a confident and hardworking person in so many aspects of her life and gymnastics and her coaches have been instrumental in helping her develop these skills. Berks East has a place for everyone from top level gymnasts to beginners just starting out. Every child is welcome and the coaches have created a family environment where gymnasts can excel and have fun at the same time.

I would highly recommend Berks East Gymnastics to any parent who is interested in signing their child up for gymnastics. My twins started in 2007 at the age of 3 and my youngest daughter started in 2008. Although the twins started the same year they were moved up according to their skill level. What impressed me was the knowledge of the growing body. They will introduce skills to the gymnast when the gymnast is ready for it as to minimize stress and injury. My girls are now practicing level 8, level 7, and level 5. The financial aspect is difficult when you have 3 girls on team. However, I have never been questioned by the owner if I fell behind. He is very understanding with my situation. My twins also have recent diagnoses which require monitoring and medication. The coaches have been on top of their issues and contact me when necessary. The coaches, gymnasts, and gymnast’s family have become family to us. During the school year Coach Amy offered to come to my house to get the girls up, ready and off to school because my husband and I leave for work before they get up. Each level requires a certain amount of hours a week. At most, the optional level gymnasts practice 16 hours per week. This allows the girls to concentrate on homework, family and still be competitive with the other gyms. My daughter was on Excel Platinum this year (2015-2016) which took first place in the state. The owner of the gym also offers the older girls employment opportunity at the gym. The girls must be a certain age and team level in order to possess the skills needed for employment. The gym not only gives the girls the training and skills to compete at the college level but also related work experience to add to their college application. I am shocked to read the parents complain about the young coaches. If they understood the qualifications and dedication these girls posses they would want the same opportunities for their daughters as they came of age. This gym not only offers opportunity now but helps prepare them for the future. Berks East, like every other gym, has different and sometimes opposing personalities, ideas and opinions. However, I have learned, through my own experiences, if you keep the lines of communication open the coaches will work with you to make sure your child has the most successful gymnastics career.

very disappointed. My kids are now almost 8 and 6+ and NONE can even do decent cartwheels. At a birthday party I saw peers of my kids that did flips, cartwheels and God know what else! (Yes they went to a different facility). You will find that the quality is very lacking you would be better off to send your kids on a climber at The Works. They used to prorate missed sessions and new policy will be almost impossible to meet especially if you get into unforeseen circumstances. I found that The owner is very hard headed man and doesn't really listen to his customers. I would NOT recommend this place.
