Burger was cooked to a perfect medium. The fries are well done and firm and crunchy. The Philly cheese steak was great.

Execrable service, mediocre food: tortilla soup which was supposed to come out w other entree came out long before ... and cold, and -- it turned out -- w/o it's primary ingredient, the tortillas; we sent it back to come out on time. Then the burger and -- greasy, cold, separated -- cheese on toast arrived. No soup. After waiting, went to cashier and asked for it. "What soup was that?" she asked? "We're the only customers in the restaurant; maybe the waiter [one of the total 7 idle staff] can figure it out?". He eventually returned from wherever he had vanished to, and found the soup, and served it ... warmer ... and -- aha! Who knew? -- that's what the tortillas look like. For a teen hangout this might be ok. For real people, no. And not at real prices.

Warm tavern atmosphere brings you back to the days when GW must have spent some time near by planning the battle of Bayonne. Burgers were amazing, fresh cut red onion rings nicely done, and the best steak fries I've had. They cut them in the classic half rounds, but extra thin so they get crispy. Good selection of local microbrews and a decent list of crafted cocktails.
