Besche Furniture Inc. is a family owned and operated, home furnishings retailer, dedicated to customer service and satisfaction.

Story

In 1877, Joseph Besche (pronounced BESH-EE), a German immigrant, started a home furnishings business in Baltimore, Maryland. The store was called "Joseph Besche & Sons". Four of Joseph's children, the second generation, worked together in the family business and eventually changed the name to "Four Besche Bros.". By the time it closed its doors in 1977, it had become one of Maryland's oldest family owned and operated furniture stores.

Anthony Besche, one of the original four brothers, had a son by the name of Richard, who grew up in the family business but was determined to raise his family away from the big city. "Dick" Besche moved to the Eastern Shore in 1965 and went back into the furniture business.

His children, now the fourth generation, worked together in the family business and renamed the store Besche Brothers Furniture. And now, with many years of tradition behind us, "Besche Furniture" wants an opportunity to satisfactorily serve you in the twenty-first century.
