great place to stay for the night. Motel and service staff were just great. only problems that I've seen were that the driving into the motel was somewhat confessing for a new person finding this place, had two fast food places, making a little confusion Only other problem was that the motel needs more chairs in the pool area. The pool area was taken over by a group having a birthday party and they took all the pool chairs. Other than those minor complaints, I would have no problem recommending this place. The breakfast place was outstanding, many good choices.

This was our first stay at Cottage Grove Inn Best Western. It was a great experience. The entire staff were pleasant, courteous and helpful. The GM was top notch, I just wish there were more around like her. The rates were fair and reasonable, will definitely stay again.

The hotel is fairly new and well maintained. The lobby, corridors, and room were all very clean. There is an indoor pool/hot tub which were wonderful on the chilly afternoon we arrived. The breakfast area was well stocked and very clean. The addition of fresh fruit (we had strawberries and cantaloupe melon) were really wonderful. The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful with information about the area. All but two of the rooms are interior corridor access. Although we did not need it, there are two (2) rooms with exterior access for those with special needs. The handicap parking spaces are right in front of these 2 rooms as well. This was truly a really nice place to stay and we would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

The food, for me, was surprisingly good. The sausages and the sausage gravy were actually tasty. The scrambled eggs my husband had were unpalatable. I warmed a couple of hard boiled eggs in the microwave and was very happy with them. It is a pet friendly hotel and so we had one yappy dog, but with our door closed, we were undisturbed.

Room, mattress, access, noise level—all fine. Leeda, asst. manager, best hotel host among many I've known. What's not to like? Good hiking nearby, good restaurants. A great small town, so I hesitate to say too much. I hope it stays as great as it is.
