This best Western is a mediocre hotel. There was a pallet of building material left out near the elevator. The hallways smell like rotten food and are poorly lit. Makes you feel like you are in a horror film. The doors for each room have a large cut out so you can literally see and hear into the room from the hallway- usually hotels have doors that are completely sealed off. The outside of the hotel is dingy. Staff was nice and breakfast was OK. Please do yourself a favor and do not stay here. I'm sure the owner will respond to this review with the same generic response they have given to other bad reviews. Already did it for them! Lol! Excellent overnight stay at a great price. Hotel and room were clean and quiet. Hazel at the front desk was so friendly that I would come back just because she was there to greet me. Good location near great Indian restaurant and an Italian restaurant that we'll try next time. Morning breakfast could use a few more fresh fruit choices and maybe some peanut butter for the English muffins but that was perfectly fine for a quick breakfast on the go. Would definitely stay again

Rooms are clean, lobby is nice, pool is well kept, and property is quiet. Only discontent would be the old mattresses and ancient microwave/fridge found in the rooms. If this Best Western were to get a remodel and renovation I would give it 5/5 stars. However, based on the Indian restaurant next door which serves phenomenal food, I would stay here again as is just based off how delicious Persis Biryani Grill is!

We were running away from Hurricane Irma and this hotel had a vacancy. It was satisfactory for the night we stayed and the location was near to the city as well as having restaurants nearby. It was clean and all staff were pleasant. Someone tried to check in with a dog and the hotel would not make an exception to its no-pet policy. Under the circumstances I feel the hotel should have made an exception. It was difficult enough escaping Florida with the congested traffic and empty gas stations; it seemed unfair to not help a stranded traveler because of a pet. The traveler had no choice but to bring the dog along.

Close to lots of restaurants and downtown Columbia. Clean room. Good service. Ok breakfast. No real problems to speak of.
