This was among the best places I have ever stayed. All the staff were friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make suggestions for an enjoyable. The breakfast was unusually complete with hot items every day as well as having fare that varied slightly from day to day. That was important to me as I stayed seven days there. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The housekeeping staff allowed us to have full service, a simpler trash removal and towel service or no service at all. Not once did the housekeepers disturb us with a knock on the door. They seemed to pay attention and cleaned when we were out of the room. The location was away from French Quarter and Canal Street, but it was still convenient because it was on the St. Charles streetcar line, which was fun as well as convenient. The location was quiet, too. The periodic rumbling of the streetcar almost lulled me to sleep.

Staff super friendly ...........all of them... service superb and fast.. clean clean clean and very comfy beds and linens... no reason to leave the room if you don't want to! Breakfast and parking are just TERRIFIC perks... we will be staying here again and again..

Super nice older hotel right on the trolley line. It's great that they offer safe free parking. We never got in the car during the 3 days we were there. We walked and used the trolleys. It's also in a beautiful area. We will stay there again.

Beyond pleased with the entire staff at this hotel! Our 5 night stay (7/22 - 7/27) was such a pleasure. The customer service was impeccable! Everyone went out of there way to make you feel welcome. The rooms are spacious and clean, the location is perfect for an evening walk, and literally steps away from the street car/trolley pick up and drop off point. After a busy day of site seeing, it was always nice to return to the hotel and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area and the cleanliness and care that the staff put into our room. I would stay here again without a moments hesitation!

Cozy, AVENUE location with charm, but lacks adequate parking. I am handicapped and there is only 1 stall. Upon my check-in the stall and adjoining blue area was filled with motorcycles. None displayed handicap placards or plates. The stairs leading to upper floors are narrow and steep. The elevator barely accommodates the luggage cart. My room was clean and cozy, but was AVENUE view which could be noisy at times. The complimentary breakfast is nice and has many choices. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable and friendly, but check your bill closely. I was overcharged and had to call the Manager on Duty while enroute to airport. I was told my final bill would be adjusted. The French Quarter is a short drive or trolley car ride away.
