My first time at a Best Western location. I'm usually loyal to Hilton brands. Was really impressed with the cleanliness of the room. The Bath & Body Works toiletries were a nice touch, too. Breakfast was standard... most comprable to a Hampton Inn. incredibly warm and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again when visiting State College. It's a little far from campus, but the price is right and the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. Would highly recommend.

Christine at the breakfast bar was awesome. She went above and beyond making sure my party had everything we needed. She made us feel welcomed in the morning when we first came down for breakfast and invited us to use the conference center to eat our breakfast when the lobby area was full. She came over several times to make sure we were doing OK. We look forward to seeing her next year for our yearly friends get together /first game of season.

4 1/2 stars. Whoever designed this hotel was thinking! Our rooms was large and clean, the breakfast was hot with a wide variety of food choices including an automated pancake maker (a first for me). The staff was excellent. The only negative is that the carpet is stained, not only in our room, but throughout the hotel.

But I couldn't stop marvelling at the thought that went into the design. The bathroom included a makeup/shaving mirror that swings out over the counter. The room electricity in turned on and off by a room key, an amazing green feature I had not seen before. There is even a dark blue makeup towel in the bathroom to prevent staining of the white towels. 

The pool is nice and clean with water the perfect temperature. There is a nice exercise room. The location is quiet, which means there is little within walking distance, but that may also keep the rate down.

Very clean,  very nice rooms.  Was here for work and made myself at home.  The room was huge with a king bed.  My only complaint, although it's minor, I went to use the laundry room and found that there is only one washer and one dryer for the entire hotel. I got there at a good time,  everyone else had to wait in line.

I always enjoy my stay! The Hotel is clean and quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's in a great location to "everything" Happy Valley!!
