The team and facility at Betzler was best in class when handling my father's sudden passing. I would not hold a service anywhere else in Kalamazoo. They made the visitation arrangements, food, displays, flowers, Life Story, Mass cards, everything, was beautiful and nearly effortless for our family. Compassionate, sincere care throughout the Funeral Mass, and ultimately at the internment. Highly recommend.

Joe and his team took such great care arranging my husband's celebration of life.  Joe did a thorough job getting to know my husband, and his writers crafted a life story that beautifully articulated my husband's life.  The Betzler team was highly communicative and sensitive to our needs and desires to pay tribute to my husband.  The service was indeed PERFECT, and our friends and family who attended the service kept commenting on how great the tribute and facility were.  The reception after the service was tastefully executed with delicious catering and top notch service.  The therapy dog was also a big hit.  I highly recommend this funeral home and their professional team.

When you have to bury a loved one with respect, dignity and love in accordance with their wishes you should do this with Betzler Funeral Home. My father's wishes as told by me to Joe at Betzler were carried out to a T and we had a beautiful casket with the top covered in Dad's life story photos and beautiful flowers and a beautiful hearse and all the details followed! Betzler made it so much easier on me with all the other things I had to attend to as well. I was heard and listened to and my requests for some details were also honored. This is the best funeral home in our state, and it also has a liquor license for the celebrations of life, which is necessary to my mind for such occasions, which are happy and sad and full of memories!

A funeral of a loved one is difficult, but Betzler Funeral home took care of every detail. We brought in memorabilia, pictures  and shared with Scott Betzler about our loved one’s life. I had so many people comment on the life story that was written and said it was him so totally. Beautifully written. The planning was done over a couple hours with a caring attitude and support for all decisions that we wanted for the funeral.   For  the funeral all we had to do was to show up and be with guests and celebrate the life of our loved one. They packaged leftover food for us at the end of that evening and had all pictures and memorabilia ready to be picked up the next day. All was seamlessly done with compassion and caring.

Betzler Life Story Funeral Home was absolutely amazing. They made sure our needs were met and had such a beautiful life story service and reception for my dad that has passed away. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has lost a loved one because they were more than thoughtful, respectful and made sure we were happy with everything that was being done. Each person at Betzlers made us feel comfortable and assured us that our feelings are valid for the loss of our loved one. Overall an amazing experience and beautiful life story service, reception, workers and venue. Scott and Joe helped us tremendously and all of the others, as well.

I feel so very fortunate that I have found Betzler Life Story Funeral Home for my husband's celebration of life. Scott and his team listened with intent and genuine care. They helped me in every way possible to put together the most beautiful and honorable visitation service and reception. They created a life-story movie, a life-story folder and book, and several framed pictures of my husband's life story. I also received ready-to-sign thank you cards, guest names and addresses, as well as a book full of hand-written memories by friends and family. Betzler LSFH also took care of important paperwork and guided me through each step. Ellie, their therapy dog, sat by my side during the visitation service. Ellie also comforted my young children. I deeply appreciate everything Betzler Life Story Funeral Home has done for me during the most difficult time of my life. I will forever remember their kindness and compassion, genuine care, as well as their warm and welcoming venue.

We couldn't have been more pleased with the way we were treated by everyone at Betzler Life Story. It was everything we needed and wanted in the  celebration of Eric's life. The facility is beautiful. The staff is very supportive and caring including Ellie!. Thank you, again, for bringing us all some peace and comfort during a very difficult time.

I give Betzler the highest review and recommendation. My family and I met with Joe Buysse to make arrangements for a service when my mother passed away.  Joe was compassionate, patient, and professional.  He guided us through the writing of the obit and life story, arranged for a private service, including a priest, and coordinated all areas of the service to perfection.  Joe even drove the hearse to Fort Custer cemetery and gave each of the three daughters a rose from the burial flowers.  Joe and Betzler made a very emotional and difficult time as seamless and nice as possible.

Top notch and first of their class ALL THE WAY! Beyond thankful that my family went with Betzler's. The warmth and compassion that we received was superb. The entire team both visible and behind the scenes made every single request we had happen, and they did so in such a caring, heartfelt and expeditious way. There is a reason they have so many 5 STAR reviews.

We had a really wonderful experience working with all the individuals at Betzler, planning and coordinating both my father's and then my mother's memorial service.  They were extremely professional and respectful of each family member and tailored each service to reflect the personality of each of my parents.
