This place is an absolute joke. Business Owners....BEWARE! If you are planning on opening a business and need a permit to remodel the space. You may be waiting for a very long time. We have been trying for months to get a permit. Every single time we call we rarely ever get someone on the phone. When you do actually reach a live person, each person tells you something different. We have consistently done everything that was asked of us and yet they keep changing the finish line. Good luck to all the future business owners who are wanting to open in Macon. You will be paying rent on a space that is uninhabitable for many months before you can actually open a store front. Do better Macon!

What is going on on Macon/Bibb County clickfix app?. Requests are being submitted daily and no Macon/Bibb County Officials are responding to them. Numerous request have been submitted for Southfork Subdivision for the last 60 + days and no Macon/Bibb County Officials have responded to them. What is the purpose of advising citizens to use this app to report property/maintenance  concerns through and they are being completely  ignored by Macon /Bibb County Officials?

So I just purchased a home and needed to do the electrical work. After running from office to office, planning and zonning back to the permit office, I was told I could not pull the permit. #1 my drivers license doesn't match the home address. Response: how can i move in a house with no electricity??? #2 tax assessors doesn't show me as the owner. Response: I just purchased it and it takes you all a year to update YOUR records. Solution: fix your antiquated systems! Update the records when a home is purchased!!! #3 the office would not accept my executed HUD and closing docs. Prepared by a licensed and GA bar approved attorney.  Their rationale: it must be in writing. Solution: accept electronic communication  Dissatisfied and disappointed in our outdated government systems! Not to mention you wasted an hour of my time! At least I didn't have to pay for parking ;-
