I had a grand time searching for fossils in between the beautiful banks knee deep in stream.

Walk or bike ride on the Henry Hudson Trail.  Enjoy the tranquility of a short walk or a hike.  My wife and I love this Gem of a place.  Its pretty well upkept other than the couple of disgusting slobs that truly don't understand dog ownership, and the responsibility of leasing and cleaning up after their dog.

Great place! Have been going here for years. The trick is be patient the fossil/shark teeth aren't huge but plentiful. Though  you may find some 1" and up. Kids love it too, great place to teach them about fossils, water, land and it's inhabitants. Fossilized shells and Bellminite are easy finds for the little ones. Bring:sifting screens,trowel,container for finds, something to sit on small tarp, snack or lunch & water.We wear rain boots in the water. Also bring at least 2 large containers of water to wash up towels. Biodegradable soap. It can get muddy!! Bring a change of clothes. Not always  necessary  but if you're there long enough someone either falls in, wades into deep water or a water fight.

Not that of a huge park compared to other parks around but it is very nice for walking or running the trails. There aren't any large water bodies here except for a small pond at the entrance to the park, not that many trees in most parts of the park but there are some nice open field here instead.
