Big Herms oyster poor boy sandwich was the best I have had in years.  Combine that with the delicious cornbread and collard greens and we had an over the top lunch.  Don’t be put off because the chairs and tables don’t match. This place is all about the quality of food and friendly folks that make it.  So lucky this is right around the corner from my daughter’s house. Can’t wait to come back. Note Big Herms is not open on weekends.

I found this place while looking for lunch on the way home.... and it was good! I ordered the wing basket.  The food was served hot! This is a take out place,  so ask for extra napkins if you're eating in the car! I couldn't eat the macaroni because there was too much oil in it, but other than that, I enjoyed my meal! Customer service was top notch!  Parking: Parking lot right across the street and easily accessible.

This was easily one of the best ceaser salads I’ve ever had! I got shrimp instead of chicken and it was a 10/10. I can tell the dressing is homemade and the croutons are also, it’s sooooo good! Will be back :Food: 5/5

This was my first time at Big Herm’s and I will be back whenever I’m craving soul food. They’re one of the few places open on Monday’s which is a nice perk and the food is great for the most part. I ordered the variety basket with mac and cheese,collard greens, and mashed sweet potatoes. Everything was so good I’d taken a couple bites before I remembered to snap a picture. The cornbread was so sweet and buttery and the Mac and cheese was baked really well. The greens were a little heavy on the vinegar which I don’t mind but if you don’t like vinegar don’t go with these. I also ordered the wings which were on a special today and they weren’t my favorite. The Buffalo sauce wasn’t the traditional taste I was expecting, but they were still okay as long as you don’t go in with that expectation. I placed my order and had my food in about 20 minutes. Overall, great experience!

Ordered the asparagus corn salad that comes with blackened chicken and a sweet and spicy vinaigrette.I added ranch to mine. It was delicious! Asparagus is a little too crunchy I like it softer but that’s a personal preference. I’m excited to try some other menu items. The sweet potatoes were the best I’ve ever had. Was not amused by the quality of the food. Ordered chicken wings which tasted burnt with no seasoning and was only sufficed by the ranch dressing. The Mac and cheese also was not good. The cornbread caught me by surprise and it had actual corn inside was not amazed. I really had high hopes being that it’s a soul food restaurantFood: 1/5

I went here on my lunch break. Both the cook and server was nice with taking my order and getting my food out to me quickly. I ordered the catfish sub & the bbq wings with Mac n cheese. Will be returning soon and letting others know about this place. It is not a dine in spot only pick up.

The food tastes amazing! Their portions have gotten bigger. Their recipes must have changed a tiny bit because the food is even tastier. The fried catfish is what I usually get, but this time I got a Philly cheesesteak and was pleasantly surprised.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the grilled shrimp salad!!  It comes with roasted vegetables in the salad. I didnt know I liked zucchini and squash until I had this salad. Then the vinergarette is awesome!!  Update: Also try the Buffalo Shrimp!! It is amazing, not too hot, perfection!! Michelle's pound cake is amazing as well and has a sauce that comes with it. I drizzle it on the pound cake.
