Story

About Us: Flowers have been growing on this farm for generations. Bill and Lois McLaren originally owned the farm; followed by a decade-long ownership by Todd and Lani Swan. Now it is the Holden family's turn to love and farm this land. Chris, Tausha, Siarah, and Parker are embarking on a new family adventure and learning the hard way about farming successes and hardships and loving every minute of it.

When I first walked through the gates of this amazing place, I knew it was my forever home. It's the perfect fit. I have been in the produce/floral/gardening industry since 1999, and I had just purchased a half dozen chicks... I knew I could combine the hard work of a farmer and the attention to detail of a floral designer, into a budding new career (pun intended). Thus, allowing me to spend more time with my family, instilling strong family values, and working hard doing the things I love.

My mission is to provide a reasonably priced and healthy alternative to store-bought flowers. These flowers are often treated with harsh chemicals so they can be transported long distances before they even land in your vase. Most of the time these flowers are on their way out the moment you bring them home. Furthermore, your skin is your biggest organ; just handling the flowers releases unneeded toxins into your body.

This property has been pesticide and herbicide free for close to 4 decades. We are proud of that and want to keep it that way. We rely heavily on beneficial insects for pollination and pest control. We are not certified organic YET but are working on getting our certification. We use natural methods during all parts of the growing/fertilizing process and NEVER use chemical pesticides. We love our Pirate Bugs, Lady Bugs, Butterflies, Bumblebees, and of course the almighty Honey Bees.

Please take a moment to visit us at the Kalispell and Whitefish Farmers Markets to see our beautiful blossoms (and other yummy seasonal offerings) yourself, or call anytime to set up a consultation. If you are in a last-minute bind, please give us a call. I am sure we could pull together a beautiful creation in no time that will trump the offerings at Costco or the BIG Bad Box stores. We will periodically offer cut mixed bouquets at some of our local markets.
