After five years (almost to the day), my "Big Box store" front load washer died.  Though I knew I wanted a front load washer again, the horrible reviews of those currently on the market made me very wary.  By chance, I happened upon Speed Queen, a brand (made mostly in America) with overwhelmingly great reviews.  Billman's Appliance Center is the local dealer in this area, and they gave me an extremely competitive price on the washer, in addition to a great price for the delivery and set-up.  The two men who came out for the install went above and beyond the call of duty, getting my washer up two flights of stairs without any damage to themselves, the walls, the steps or the washer.  They were real professionals!
My washer has been in for about a week, and I absolutely LOVE it!  I cannot say enough wonderful things about this front loader.   It sips water; has quick cycles (as front loaders go); balances flawlessly (no more banging against the sides of the machine); is QUIET (didn't know how loud the old machine really was); washes clothes thoroughly; and has a tub that is more than sufficient for a queen-sized comforter.  I'm so happy that I even look for excuses to wash clothes.  If you're in the market for a washing machine, do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on a Speed Queen, and buy it from Billman's Appliance Center.  You won't regret the decision.
