The Montreal Biodome is a facility located in Montreal that allows visitors to walk through replicas of four ecosystems found in the Americas. The building was originally constructed for the 1976 Olympic Games as a velodrome. It hosted both track cycling and judo events. Renovations on the building began in 1989 and in 1992 the indoor nature exhibit was opened.

There is a lot to see at the Montreal Biodome and sometimes they even have special guests. I have been a few times, including one when they had some lemurs which was really nice to see. Overall a great place to visit from time to time and to bring young children as they have plenty to see and do. If you are a Montreal resident you can get in for as little as $12 but tourist pay about $25. With young kids it can be a quick visit as they run through the site in about an hour but if you take the time to read and experiment at all the stops you can pass a morning there.

A great interactive experience! Not just a zoo, you can immerse yourself in four different terrains with animals and life at every turn. You can quickly walk through and have a good time or you can take your time and see what exciting things can happen all around you. The animals have free reign so you may experience encounters along the way as I have many times. Bring a warm top as the Arctic areas are colder.

I really loved the Biodome. We were blown away by how many animals we saw! There was a surprise waiting around every corner, from small orange monkeys to a giant bird to an alligator. The aquatic section with puffins and Penguins and fish was a lot of fun too! Great place to spend the afternoon with the family. My kids would have LOVED IT. This pass came as part of our Passport Montreal - this is so worthwhile if you are on vacation in Montreal.

Nice indoor activity do with the kids. Gets really crowded on the weekends but if you’re lucky to go on a slow day, it’s a great place. You’re able to see different climates and tropical animals. For the price you’re getting a wonderful experience.

This is a nice stop with kids. It wasn't crowded on a Tuesday afternoon which made it easy to get close and seeing the animals. There are not a lot of interactive exhibits which other similar places in other cities do have but this biodome does have a good mix of animals that you usually have to go to multiple places (zoo and aquarium) to see.
