About Seventh-day Adventists
Seventh-day Adventists are known as students of Gods word, especially prophecy, and long to share the good news of salvation through faith, the soon coming of Christ, and the Three Angels messages with the world. World-wide evangelism and mission work, as well as a strong emphasis on education and healthy living have distinguished the Seventh-day Adventist Church from other denominations.
Our world church is governed by the General Conference, with smaller regions administered by divisions, union conferences, and local conferences. We currently have a worldwide membership of over 17 million people, a missionary presence in over 200 countries and territories, and are ethnically and culturally diverse. The Seventh-day Adventist Church operates numerous schools, hospitals and publishing houses worldwide, as well as a prominent humanitarian aid organization.
