It's definitely a good brunch spot if you haven't been. The food was good. the only issue was that some of the salmon was a little bit more fishy here than one of my friends would like. However, they did enjoy their food. That's the reason for the 4 star at 5 star.Food: 5/5
Excellent food & service. It might not be an every day place to eat but it's perfect for special occasions, or a romantic dinner. The 5 or 7 course prix fixe is an enjoyable experience, we've done both. We've gone for family dinners as well & ordered from the menu. Every meal had been great.
Very cute atmosphere and professional staff. The service was flawless all over. The food was not perfect though. The seasoning and taste of the scallops appetizer was weird but the meat was cooked to perfection. The pork chop was absolutely HUMONGOUS but it tasted good. The green beans though were not cooked evenly and quite boring. The dessert was definitely on the sweet side. Service is worth the money but the food isn’t.
French done right! Waiters are in black and the ambiance is magnifigue! I enjoyed a glass of Bordeaux Chateau Lescalle and it was full bodied and had plenty of legs. The waitress recommended the saffron potato leek soup and it was marvelous. The cracked pepper added a lovely touch to the already very flavorful soup. I also ordered the pork chop with a sweet potato fries, green beans and a delectable rosemary glaze. I am as impressed as anything in DC.
We went for Saturday brunch to celebrate our anniversary, and it was so lovely. We had our two month old baby in tow, so chose to sit outside. They have set up a cozy chalet with heaters and the works including tablecloths, silver, similar decor to indoors, etc. We’ll definitely be going back!
Presentation is everything with this place. The decor is dated and has a thrift shop feel. The food and flavors are amazing. The lobster bisque was rich, creamy and delicious. Would go again for dinner
WOWWW Bistro L’Hermitage exceeded my expectations. Everything was literally perfect . I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and my partner ordered the steak eggs and potatoes. The eggs Benedict was THE best I’ve had , and the steak and eggs were divine. I honestly want to come back tomorrow to have it again . Service was also great ,everyone was friendly and checked on us frequently.
This place was disappointing to say the least. We went with a large group for a birthday celebration. The service was great initially until our entrees were ordered. The waitstaff would nudge us out of the way and rest their bodies on us to refill glasses of water. The entrees arrived at the same time and the waitstaff had a good memory of who ordered what. One person in the party had a burnt lobster tail, the burnt flavor shone throughout the dish. For myself I personally love duck, but the duck I was served was very flesh and raw. Like raw raw. The duck breast was sliced by the kitchen and honestly I don't know how it made it out looking like that. The sear on the outside was good and the slices on the end were a medium, but everything else was raw. The waiter didn't even return to ask how the meal was until he had dessert menus at hand. For desserts, only half of the table was asked for their order. We had to flag him down again to ask for a dessert for the birthday person.
Absolutely amazing in customer service and dining. We ate outside and the set up outside is so nice. We were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary. The staff were all so pleasant. Food was magnifique! We had the escargot snails, fried oysters, duo steak and lobster and duck. Thank you!
Anyone who lives in Woodbridge knows about this place. And anyone who lives in Woodbridge and hasn't visited has deprived themselves of a truly sumptuous dining experience. My wife and I have dined there three times, and each time was better than the last. We went for her birthday this time and left feeling that we couldn't have done better than Bistro L'Hermitage. It is on the expensive side, but worth it if you want a fine dining experience. The service and cuisine are second to none. Go ahead and splurge. Treat yourself! You'll be glad you did.
