this is some serious desert. beautiful, quiet....and deadly. the desert doesn’t suffer fools. this is not a place for most people. educate yourself. respect the land. drive slow. don’t die.

Too many dirty hippies. Don't go you will have dust in places that should never be dusty. Some of the people look like the dust has been there so long it is making a pearl.  Did I mention it is hotter then Satan's but crack. Don't go you will hate every second. Hope that gets you not to go so I have a chance at a ticket.

Very cool place that comes alive at night with diverse wildlife.
Id not sleep on the ground in a sleeping bag again as you 
may get visitors, like rattlesnakes who want to slither into 
your bag with you. Beautiful at night. 
I was actually 4 wheeling outside of the area 
and we stumbled upon the festival by chance.
Watched from a distance and kept on trucking.
Way too many folks and cops.
420 was not exactly legit in the late 1980s into 1990s.
All Deserts off a great deal of natural beauty if you bother
to inspect the world around you.

Its fun at night with both a red led flashlight, 
UV flashlights and white or yellow led lights,
which show more definition in the darkness.
Patterns you normally can't see at night illuminate 
under a strong UV led light.
Just be respectful and don't shine bright lights on 
anything too long at night as it can

Historic settler travel routes, beautiful mountains, fantastic playa.  Tons of scenery, hiking, and photo opportunities.

Its the desert...hot and dry but a wonderful place! I hear there are great hiking trails. A great place for star viewing!! Have plenty of water and provisions.
