History:
We have trained and competed with our Labradors since 1994 for NAHRA, UKC, and AKC field and hunt test trials. We started boarding dogs because we didn’t have anyone locally that we could trust to take care of our dogs as we do. We also trained clients’ dogs and they would ask us to board their dogs. We would want someone to keep our dogs safe, fed, fresh water (twice a day on summer days), clean kennel, and give them attention dogs desire as we do our own dogs.

v KENNEL INFORMATION:
ü Dog boarding in a rural setting
ü Kennel is state licensed by Iowa
ü Short or long term boarding welcomed
ü $13 per dog for each 24 hours for kennel
ü $15 per dog for each 24 hours for small dog in house & totally house trained
ü Example 1: Dog dropped off at 8 AM on Monday and then picked up 8 AM on Tuesday is counted as 1 day. That would be $13 charge for kennel & if housedog then it would be $15
ü Example 2: Dog dropped off at 8 AM on Monday and then picked up after 5 PM on Tuesday is counted as 1 1/2 days. That would be $19 charge for kennel and if it were housedog then it would be $23.00 charge.
ü If you make several cancelled reservations, we will ask for a non refundable deposit.
ü Vet records are required – proof of Provo, Kennel cough, & rabies vaccinations
ü We will need permission to take your pet to Vet if necessary and vet will bill you
ü Indoor Kennel are heated or air conditioned with attached covered outdoor individual runs
ü 3 or more airings a day in large play area and lots or TLC
ü Dog(s) need to be intestinal and heart wormed & flea protection applied
ü Reservations are recommended. If reservations not used with no notification of cancellation then we will require full non-refundable payment the next time. We understand that reservations may need to be cancelled.
ü Kennel hours are 7 days a week by appointment between 8 AM – 7 PM(Monday - Friday), Saturday and Sunday hours are 8 AM - 5 PM.. Please call to set a time for pickup or drop off.

v What to bring:
ü Collar, keep dog on leash.
ü Enough food for its stay (maybe 1 extra feeding) in airtight container.
ü A rag, or towel that has your smell on it. This will help with the homesickness
ü Anything else that would make your pet happy. We have bowls, blankets & buckets for feed and water.
ü Vet records, worm and flea protection info
ü Please call before to arrange a time convenient for you to check in or check out. Kennel hours are 7 days a week between 8 AM – 7 PM
v Directions
ü From Burlington Airport on Summer Street go SOUTH on Summer Street.
ü Summer Street will become CR-X62 (old Fort Madison Rd). Go 1.9 miles
ü Turn LEFT onto Sullivan Slough Rd. Go 0.7 miles
ü We are the last white house on the left. Our address is 4438 Sullivan Slough Rd. If you go over the railroad tracks, you’ve gone to far come back. We have several very large pine trees that hides the house, however, we have blue 911 marker on the driveway entrance. It has 4438 on it. That is us.
