Great salon for women's and men's haircuts and color! Tawnie did an amazing job with my long layers and a relaxing deep conditioning treatment. 10/10 would go again!

I've never been motivated to write a review for a business, but this was an especially poor experience. I'm black, and I wanted a haircut from a barber close to work. I made an appointment, showed up, and when I sat down the barber immediately told me that she doesn't cut "ethnic hair." She then went on to make up some excuses about not having the right brushes or experience to cut my hair. She then recommended that I visit another barber shop down the street that had more experience. All I asked for was a buzz cut; it is literally one of the easiest hair cuts possible. I know barber / beauty salons teach students how to do a buzz cut. Non black clients get buzz cuts as well. I've never been explicitly turned away from a business because I was black, and it has been a long time since someone has used such thinly veiled racism to my face. Please avoid this business. This was shameful.

I came in thinking that I could get a decent haircut at a fair price. I was mistaken. 

I got absolutely butchered. The sides were shaved off and I was left with a Mohawk/toupee looking piece. 

The Barber definitely did not listen to what I was saying even as I tried to correct his method.

It's my first time since moving to the bay, and Peggy gave me an awesome haircut.  There's a little waiting area right next to the chair so my fiancée was able to watch as the transformation happened.  Be sure to ask about their interactive art display.  They also do womens' haircuts, don't forget.
