I give the town of Bloomfield one star because there is no option for zero stars. The property taxes in this town are outrageous. I was paying almost $6000 per year for a small ranch house built in 1954 on less than a half an acre of land. This is hideous. The same goes for my car taxes. Can't wait to move from this hole. Shame on these town officials for taking money out of the working man's pockets like we all born with a golden spoon in our mouths.

Paying high real estate tax isn't enough. It's over $100/week for a 1400 Sq ft home. Motor vehicle tax system is flawed. Last year  was 5400 value, bill was on 18,000. They manually adjust value to 5600. So my 14 year old truck with 206,900 miles is going up? RIPOFF!

this is for the baby boomers  and silent generation of this town, i grew up here  went to .B.S.H  i can  never say anything good.i went into the navy oct. 71 to aug 74, served 9 months in gulf of tonkin in viet  nam came home  just another face no bands or celebrations, mayor kinder wrote me a letter overseas, i lived on jerome place close to wrights field, i live in ct  for over 30 years  will never come back . i hope you younger vets are getting your needs met, we didn t. we did have jobs  bu had to back to school for 4 to 6 years.the town named after a general  never came through.
