This place was absolutely packed on a Tuesday night! We loved our server and our food — the dry hot chicken has a numbing heat to it, so I didn’t love it, but it was nice and crispy. The large white rice was HUGE. The scallion pancakes were a highlight, too. The main entrees cost about $20 and are good for sharing and each appetizer was about $9. The chili oil dumplings were also awesome. Overall, loved the cozy vibe. There’s no parking lot but there is metered street parking nearby. We would totally come back!
I’ve been going to this place for a long time. I love it there and yesterday I returned after a year or so. Kind of disappointed. They changed the dole whip drink recipe and now make it with a cheaptasting, toosweet orange something no more JUST dark rum around that delicious dole whip. For some reason the scallion pancakes were more like fat/tall scallion cakes. Way too thick, gooey, which I don’t think they should be that way for my palette. The crispiness of a scallion pancake is what does it for me with that ginger sauce . But the ginger sauce literally tasted like black water. When I told the waitress about those two things, she told me that the drink recipe had never changed, and that it had always been like that, which I could not stop laughing about and deserved the crazy look she gave me. Because I was laughing hysterically because “how are you gonna tell me?” she was overall ANNOYED and ignored my comments. ‍ I paid, but in retrospect, I should have asked for a manager to credit the cakes only because I didn’t eat the scallion pancakes and didn’t even finish my drink which is unheard of. The Crab Rangoon’s are the best in the area, hands down. Don’t even go anywhere else -just buy these here. The chicken wings were so crispy and I wish they had a different dipping sauce than the Crab Rangoon just for variety.
The place by itself is nice. They have a great variety of drinks. They look cool. That way the main reason why my friends and I decided to go there. We had a table outside, our waiter was kinda all over the place, and we had to wait for him. He was nice but he did not pay a lot of attention to our table. The cocktails were great! They looked great and tasted amazing. I tried Angie Valencia and Duan's Whip. The food was another way around. It was not good. My friends and I ordered Crab Rangoon to share. And I ordered Lo Mein for myself. Crab Rangoon was okay but the sauce that was served with it was weird. It was awful. I do not want to sound rude but Lo Mein that I ordered was tasteless. Lo Mein from other places tastes better. My friends did not like their food either. The conclusion this place is great for its cocktails but for the food I do not recommend it.
Amazing cocktails, wonderful service, delicious food and a pretty intimate atmosphere. I recommend placing a reservation before dining in. The location can get busy and it’s a little too dark inside for my preference at night. But this chain is incredible and always worth going to for any occasion
Came here on a Sunday night at 5:05pm, we didn't have a reservation, but the hostess was nice enough to give us the option to get seated but would need to finish by 630pm table reserved. We immediately ordered. Our waiter was very friendly and tried to give us a good experience without rushing us. Even though we were watching the time. We finished at 635pm. Everything we got were delicious. Authentic flavors without being too spicy. The table favorites were the Tofu crepe, scallion pancake very fresh and not too crispy or oily, crispy fish filet cooked perfectly and not oily or too much coating and Kung pao chicken. We will be back and will try to make a reservation ahead of time.
This place was pretty good. It was very busy so lots of people seem to really like it. I thought the food was flavorful and innovative but my experience wasn't exactly flawless enough to warrant a full five stars. The only two things I can say against BO@SG are that the menu is like 70% spicy options and that the chicken I got had many fried pieces with no chicken in it. I love spicy food, but I was fairly overwhelmed and took the rest of my meal home instead of finishing it it was really good on top of a salad I threw it on to balance a little of the heat. It's a combination of having few non-heat options and having the heat options as pretty substantially hot that make Blossom Bar a bit of a niche experience. Overall if you love spicy Asian food you'll probably love it here, but I'd reccomend against the chicken bits as my fiancees noodle based dish was much better and didn't contain a ton of fried non-meat bits.
Really great, everything about it. The drinks were delicious. The dumplings and scallion pancakes to start were soo good. The kung pao chicken and pork with sweet peppers were awesome. The portions are definitely generous. The waiter was quite nice and the service was quick and attentive. Highly recommend.
Six in our family ordered five different cocktails, four different appetizers, and six different entrees. We passed around glasses and plates, tasting each other's selection. The consensus was that everything was unique, but equally tasty/delicious. Food flavors were rich and complex, balanced with a layer of Sichuan heat. The cocktails were amazing. This is a restaurant worth repeating.
Went here for drinks when I was already full which was a mistake! We did end up getting some bites and I regretted eating anything before this because I wanted to eat it all! Drinks were on point. Food had perfect Szechuan spice I would have even gone spicier. One thing to note was that they did not have any tea. The server said that’s because they wanted to really focus on the cocktails and make sure they were up to their highest standards before branching out into this other realm of special drinks, which is understandable.
Truly one of the best cocktails I’ve had EVER! They have a really unique and very aesthetic selection of drinks. Also have great appetizer and small plate options. Waitresses are really nice and attentive, they know some of the regulars by name and order which is amazing.
