Had a delicious dinner here for Mother’s Day. My family and I shared the mushroom truffle pizza which may be the best vegan pizza I’ve ever eaten. For entrees, we enjoyed mushroom risotto, pasta carbonara, and cordon bleu. All were excellent. My kids were surprised it was vegan. Decor was pretty and service was great. This may be my favorite vegan restaurant.
This is by far one of our favorite go to restaurants in New York City. Even if you have a mixed crowd of vegans and non-vegans I would recommend going here, as it isn't just one of the best vegan restaurants in the city, but one of the best restaurants in the city. All will be happy with what they get. I tried the Seitan Cordon Blue today for the first time and I have a new favorite dosh here! Definitely leave room for dessert the Cheesecake is always divine. The overall vibe and the service never misses and is always on point. Make Blossom on Columbus a must go to stop if you are ever in New York City. Vegetarian options: Everything is Vegan, so everything is suitable for vegetarians. Dietary restrictions: Items are clearly marked that are gluten free and soy free. All items are vegan so dairy and egg allergies are not a problem here.
They try too hard to copy meat-based dishes, which I feel is a mistake, but the food was good. Vegan restaurants in general should just try and make make good food. If they are trying to convert meat eaters to plant-based, that's one thing, but if they are catering to the already converted, then copying meat dishes is a mistake. Just my humble opinion. Very good service, good selection of wine, typical prices for NYC. Vegetarian options: Well, it's an all Vegan restaurant, so... If you really want that cheese dairy cheese, you're out of luck. Cashew cheese is awesome, FYI. Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, one person in our party was in a wheelchair and it was fine but the restrooms are down a set of stairs and I didn't see an elevator.
We went here twice in three days while we stayed in NYC. one time for brunch on weekends and another for lunch time. The best carbonara i have ever had in my life and vegan sunny side up egg blew my mind.Food: 5/5
Had the soup du jour which was lentil soup. It was nice but not quite remarkable. Then onto the special for the evening. It was the mushroom risotto tower, with tortellini mushrooms, spaghetti squash, spinach, arborio rice, and pine nuts. It was fairly delicious, and the presentation certainly was a delight. While I enjoyed it, I think I am leaning more towards a 4.5 not a full 5 . However, given that this was a vegan dish, I think I'll go ahead and push it over the edge to 5 . I don't often eat vegan food, but I suppose this was pretty good for vegan food, so there, 5 The restaurant has a cozy vibe. Service was good.
Stopping in for super late Brunch on Easter, brunch ends at 4 and I slipped in at 3:50 . The server that started me off was so nice to get something in for me right under the wire. The Florentine Tofu was super yummy. A steamed cider to drink as a nice treat and finished with the cheesecake of the day. The mixed berry cheesecake was surprising as I thought the berries would be an add on but to see a line of berries along the slice was amazing . Will visit again when in the city and come for dinner as well as brunch.
Outstanding vegan menu. Full bar with tasty craft beers. Really nice nice atmosphere and staff. Can't wait to go back and try some more plant based quizien.Food: 5/5
Those “sunny side up eggs” are ! The place is pretty and the service was friendly. A bit pricey though, but still worth it.
I'm not vegetarian let alone vegan, never eaten at a vegan restaurant, and never tried seitan... I came here because I love artichoke hearts and someone I was talking to almost a year ago mentioned this place had good ones so I'd put it on my google map togo-list and finally got around to it today! Absolutely delicious!! Starting with the artichoke hearts - they were indeed excellent! The breading was good, and despite me being a native Californian who is very picky about good - not just average - ranch dressing, I actually liked the aioli these came with. I still asked for ranch though and I'm glad I did because although nothing like what I'd usually call good ranch, it worked really well with these! It also worked really well with the greens that came on the side with the artichoke hearts - and by the way, minor background character as those greens may be let me tell you they were fantastic! They're lightly oiled and peppered as far as I could tell and just.. surprisingly good! Since I'd never specifically tried vegan food before I had decided that while i was here I'd also try the seitan cordon bleu. Again - absolutely delicious! I didn't and still don't really know what seitan is, but I'd absolutely order this dish again. I highly recommend dipping it in a tiny bit of the aioli that comes with the artichokes. I'd recommend the same for the mashed potatoes that it comes with I'd requested no truffle oil on my potatoes though so that might make a difference.. the aioli honestly made the cordon bleu way better than it already was, and transformed the potatoes from ones I wasn't super fond of to very good! All in all I loved the food here and despite that I quite like meat and was just here for artichoke hearts - I'm almost certainly going to be back at this place and bringing my wife next time i took home a little sample of each thing for her and she agreed it's all really good. Will also buy their cookbook next time since I've been wanting to have a weekly vegetarian night to at least reduce meat consumption a little, and since I ate and loved literally everything on the plates I got except the lemon peel lol, I figure that might be a good way to start. Definitely check this place out!
We recently celebrated our wedding at Blossom on Columbus and it was wonderful! We dined there from time to time and wanted to have our special day there, and it was a perfect choice. The organization was done perfectly and we felt taken good care of. The food was amazing; our guests loved it also some of our more "sceptical" non vegetarian guests were very convinced!. The service was very good as well, so we can highly recommend the restaurant for these venues.
