Blue-Eyed Bear

About

Exceptional Native American Indian Jewelry, Turquoise Jewelry, Gold and Silver Jewelry, Navajo Jewelry. Authentic Native American Jewelry, Handmade Jewelry

Story

We have often been asked "what is a blue-eyed bear?". Our business name was inspired by a Zuni fetish carved from a deep-blue piece of azurite. The fetish and our ongoing interest in Native American Legends, Native American Jewelry and Native American Art led to the name.

Blue-Eyed Bear began in 1986 when Linda and Bud Johnson opened their first store in Uptown Sedona. The second location was opened at Hillside Sedona in 1997. We later closed our Hillside location and consolidated our inventory to our Uptown Store, and continue to offer elegant Native American jewelry and art that are of exceptional quality but well in the affordable price range.

We feature contemporary jewelry by award-winning Native artisans including Allison Snowhawk Lee, Robert Taylor, Alvin Yellowhorse, Dina Huntinghorse; Navajo folk art; Zuni fetishes and Pendleton blankets.

At Blue-Eyed Bear we carry art that is traditionally inspired but with a contemporary flair. We're very true to our store slogan: "Dedication to tradition with an eye on the future".

Gorgeous pieces and one very friendly and helpful sales associate. Didn't catch her name unfortunately, but she has curly brown hair and wears glasses. These are higher end, authentic Native American pieces and well worth every penny! I purchased a sterling silver bear pendant with turquoise inlay and I'm in love with it. They are sadly closing soon and selling every piece at 40% off so take advantage!

Beautiful, authentic, high quality jewelry from people you can trust. I first purchased a bolo tie and a man's ring from the Blue-Eyed Bear a few years ago. Both pieces of jewelry were hand made by Navajo artists. I enjoy wearing these unique items, and I have received many compliments on their remarkable beauty. I am a repeat customer, and highly recommend the Blue-Eyed Bear.
