Very cool place to stay. Has new rooms and are newly updated and clean. Very comfortable atmosphere. Good for family or business. Yard and pool area is very nice. I haven't visited any other motel with helpful staff like they have. Very cool.

We pulled in, and were greeted by a locked door and a phone. Picked up the phone and the manager said "I'm working on the pool, be right there." We stood in the heat, 104 with my two young children and the rest of our family for TWENTY FIVE min while he ran around doing things that could probably wait. Walked into our room and checked the beds (looking for bed bugs)..... the bedding had cigarette burns in our non smoking room. We were then told that our dog could not be on the lawn of this advertised "pet friendly" property, and that our truck was "too big" to park at our room and we had to park in the street. There was NO ONE else staying here, so why would it matter? Other hotels in the area were booked (made several phone calls) or we would have left.... but at this point, we were 10 hours from home and just needed some rest.

Overpriced for what it is. Rooms are clean, but need to be updated. Pool is nice, but always full of bugs. Nice garden and friendly staff though.

Good value & worth getting off I-5. Eduardo (the manager) greeted us with, "We've been looking for you. You must be tired. Your room is ready." We booked to arrive at 7:30 but arrived 9:45 p.m. driving 8 hrs from Oregon (most of it in rain storm AFTER crossing border INTO California). $65 for queen bed with clean sheets & linens in freshly painted 60"s environment is OK. ( No conti but Got a huge breakfast at Black Bear 2 miles down the road.) Pool is much bigger than chain motels and grounds are beautiful. Eduardo does it all and he takes personal pride and responsibility for it. He tells history (built in 50's before there was an I-5 n 99 was THE main No.-So. RD. Built by 2 NFL players brothers who wanted quiet place to hang n party. One had the now defunct restaurant next door.) Motel will be listed on some national historical register in 2 yes.
