Lunch date with my Little Princess. Her selections were meatloaf, potatoes and gravy, and green beans. I had a cup of chili, medium cooked bacon cheese burger, and onion rings. The food was very good, service was fast and attentive by Nicole, sad to learn their new location is further away from us.
Local pub restaurant. We hadn't been but had heard the food was good so went to check it out. We sat in the bar area and there were a few TVs with football on. The bar had most of the patrons. We started with the Reuben egg rolls. They were crispy with lots of tasty corn beef. I had the French onion soup which was great! Lots of gooey cheese. I also tried a piece of fish from the fish and chips. It was crispy and fresh. Really yummy. We finished with the tuxedo mousse cake. It was yummy. I wasn't expecting it to be frozen but it was tasty!
The best part of the lunch brunch was that the food was delicious. The western omelet and eggs over medium were great. Service was a problem today. Staff seemed unorganized and not working together. It took almost 15 minutes to place our order. As our waiter was struggling with a large group and individual checks, a second wait staffer walking around did not step in to help. Our drink request were taken by another individual. The orders of two other tables around us were taken before our order was taken. The place is cozy but dark with a nice bar area. There were a few TVs around. Definitely geared to an older crowd although there were several tables with children. Our check was wrong but due to the staffing issues, we let it go.
Good restaurant, I'm from out of town, was driving by and stopped by the grocery store. Than I saw the sign and went in. The food is good, as is the service. I had fish and chips it was good as was supposed to be, my wife had an onion soup and my kid a NY Steak. Everything was good. The price is fair. It seems to be a traditional place with good food. We liked it. Do recommend if you are like me and aren't fond to restaurant chains, and the same tasting food and don't want to pay a lot in a, fancy dinner out. You can eat here and won't regret.
Waitress “Alecia R” on the check could not have been less friendly - no attempt at pleasantry whatsoever. My “Eggs Over Easy” brunch entree had no fruit and was missing the two strips of bacon both are on the menu. When the server was asked if my meal should have included bacon she replied, “I think so”. I got my bacon about four minutes later - it wasn’t good either. The biscuit was dark brown—overcooked—and inedible. I did try it. Orange juice was literally the worst I’ve ever tasted - tasted like old, cheap canned. Prices are good but I would pay more if it meant decent food and atmosphere is delightfully old-school, but that doesn’t make up for bad food and terrible service. We won’t be back.
The food was good. I had the patty melt which came with a hefty piece of beef. Hot and delicious. Great service. Our waiter was Bill. It was a busy night, yet Bill made sure we had everything we needed. He quickly resolved a very small problem and apologized and made it right. It seems an older crowd, but that's ok. The food is delicious. There's good variety on the menu also. We were able to sit at a nice big table and visit with friends over a good meal and great service by Bill! Vegetarian options: They have a variety of vegetables you can select from. Parking: Parking is plentiful in the shopping center where the restaurant is located.
The food was disappointing. I should have known when I ordered my country fried steak and they asked me how I wanted it cooked, that something was off. In all my years I have never been asked that for country fried steak, even my 17 years in restaurants. The fried steak wasn't even made fresh, it was cheap frozen patties you find in the frozen food isle at grocery store. The mash potatoes were good. The staff was nice.
Love this historic diner. The Martinis are 10 oz and they really know how to make then. Food is great! This is the old school restaurant you have been looking for.
Our waiter was rude. We thought coming to the south they would be pleasant and polite not the case. We said thank you to our waiter several times with no reply the only time he was nice to us was when it was time to get the check. We asked for refills a few times and he kept forgetting when the restaurant wasn’t even busy. We felt very uncomfortable to be in there. We will not be going back when we visit Atlanta again.
The salmon and vegetables were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The bison burger also cooked and flavored to perfection and was SO TENDER. The accompanying fries were amazing. The chicken alfredo pasta was outstanding. And their spinach and artichoke dip was superb. Excellent staff, excellent service and fast service. I highly recommend this place!!!
