Go BEAVERS! Great school

Bluefield high school. Ask us what we are known for there. Go ahead, ask. We'll tell you what we've said before. Sports! Yes, we do have clubs and what not, but honestly it's all about our sports. But as of today everyone was worried about the GSA putting up posters. It's the same as any other person or group putting up posters. You may not believe in gay rights or even like it but guess what, those who are gay still are human beings. You can being talking to someone and think they are your best friend. All of a sudden you find out they are gay. are you going to treat them differently now? You couldn't tell before, what's so different now. they are just telling you something about theirselves. There will be more gays being comfortable to openly admit it and if you don't like it or believe in it then please look the other way, tolerate them atleast, treat them like a human, but you don't have to bring them down or hate them because of their sexuality. And Bluefield high school was so worried about a flag offending others and they still are but now others are offended because of a rainbow flag. I don't know how stupid society can get. please tell me what's so wrong about their 'flag', because I'd like to. Students always putting others down, bullying, like another school has it. Being told that they will handle bullying even more serious this year. Thid made me think that maybe they would but they haven't. Try and go to the office, try telling them you're being bullied. It's not their problem. Deal with it at home. Unless you are known as "popular" in the school no one really notices you. Today I about watched a good teacher cry because almost half of our school can not understand that there are gays in Bluefield High School and they can't seem to understand that they will be here no matter what. Yes you all have your opinions but you don't have to always say them every single time. I would say think about others but do they really care. Because no one seems to really care about others in this school. Other then all of the bad I have had a small circle of friends that keep me going every day in this school. I have met some teachers that I can sit down and talk to about some problems I was having at the time. But I will continue to keep going to this school. I love having an education but I hate school. If there was a family tree education would be related to hard work and school would be like a distant cousin. School shouldn't be like this.

It's a good school, unless you're not on a sports team or acedemic club. What I'm trying to say is, the students are rude; if you aren't popular- you aren't liked. My freshman year was a good year, coming from graham where I got bullied severely. But leading up to this point I have gotten bullied and it's just gotten worse, despite my many attempts asking the faculty and administration for help. They say bullying is taken seriously, but let's face it, it's really not. I have decided to finish my years of high school online because bullying and stress for me has gotten out of control. Upon having to deal with the constant distraction of bullies, I have to manage my a.p. Classes, which honestly don't teach us anything. Would you like me to explain? The students are so overwhelmed from work the teachers give them that they aren't trying to learn or conceive any information at all- they're just trying to pass. The A.P. teachers are so overwhelmed with grading papers galore to teach us anything- so they just give us more and more busy work. Don't even get me started on the food they serve us, they say it's healthy but breakfast is literally something in a bag every morning and a 4 ounce juice box. Lunch is a tiny sandwich or four chicken nuggets or a spoon full of meat on a wheat tortilla. The food doesn't have what we need in it. And if we are hungry because you DONT FEED US ENOUGH, we have to buy a WHOLE new tray, which is $3.75 for something that won't fill up a 6th grader. It's a cycle of stress and unrighteous, totally backwards education that is destroying the emotional and even sometimes physical states of my and my peers. Especially those who have more than just school that's causing them problems. I have to deal with my severe depression and mental issues, and for three years of keeping my mouth closed waiting for the bullies to stop, I finally got fed up with people making fun of me and stood up for myself, you suspended me for using a cuss word but did nothing to the people who cause me emotional harm every day. Therefore I would like to say, from the bottom of my heart, Bluefield High School: You disgust me. You might want to dig a little deeper when you call BHS the best High School than just the clubs and sports- it is corrupt and unacceptable.
