Scott and the service department here are great. Every time I've taken my car in, they have been able to fix it at (or even below) the original price quote. Not something you can say for many dealerships.

I took my old BMW to BMW of Humboldt Bay for a routine oil change and to have the chance to gain some insight to other issues I was having with the car. I knew taking it to the dealership would cost significantly more than another shop but the car had things wrong with it and I wanted people who are supposed to be knowledgeable about BMW's to survey it. I could not be more disappointed with the level of service. I dealt with the service advisor Katrina Simser. I had given her several looking points that I wanted infomation on, in addition to my oil change. When I arrived to pick my car up she skimmed through the issues and sent me on my way. I left in a daze. When I got home and actually read what they were supposed to do they gave all vague information such as "multiple oil leaks" "faulty exhaust" but no one explained anything. I called back and spoke with Scott and expressed my disappointment in the lack of service/customer service. Scott stated that he agreed and could see my point and scheduled a new time for me to come back, no charge, and have the problems explained and pinpointed. When I arrived for my 2nd appointment. Katrina told me that they would be charging me $150 (mainly now because the "check engine" light is on", which Scott knew about but maintained no charge), who even charges now for plugging the diagnostic equipment in?? In LA you can go to any Napa store!!! My 2nd visit was just awful. Katrina could not have been more rude. She didn't care about my conversation with Scott and told me she was the manager. When I asked who her mangaer was she told me she couldn't give me that information. She was snotty and condescending. I called in and spoke with the receptionist who told me they could not give out last names nor the owner of the business and then hung up on me. Then I look on google and here is everyone listed...last names and all. I did leave a message for the sales manager Matthew, who did call me back. I was so angry over the whole thing I want nothing more to do with this business. It's a shame because I've had a couple of BMW's and I am looking to buy a new one. If you want a full service oil change without the attitude go to Franklin's Auto Service. I previously took my car there because it's convenient, but man, what GREAT service. They not only changed my oil they told me I had a bright out, air filter needed changed, they told me what the check engine light tested at!!!! $80 dollars cheaper for full service. BMW didn't even vaccum the car and gave me a ton of attitude.
