Great food, great atmosphere! This was our final meal in Traverse City and we couldn't have made a better choice. We had a great meal with big lobster tails, wine, and great deserts. The whole experience was even better with the sunset next to us over the marina. The restaurant was a 20 minute drive from downtown Traverse City, buy it was totally worth it. I highly recommend making time to visit this place.

Food was great - no complaints whatsoever about the food. The service and atmosphere, however, were horrible. Too many large groups, the tables are too close together, not enough wait-staff, generally too loud. For all the reasons listed not a place to celebrate a special occasion for two. Very disappointing - we even went somewhere else for dessert because of the poor service and loud atmosphere. I expect more than good food from a restaurant at this price point.

Disappointing dining experience for a huge price tag. Three of us had LUNCH for about $75 (no appetizers, no beverages except water). My $16 mushroom bisque was a ludicrously small (maybe 6-oz) portion and I ordered it because it boasted of local morel mushrooms. The soup was lukewarm and already had a congealed film on top when it arrived. I had to try to stir that "skin" into the soup which was unpleasant. The first mushroom I ate was filled with a gritty substance like dirt or sand and I had to spit it into my napkin. My $9 wedge salad was also small and completely mediocre. The dressing tasted bottled and bland, the tomatoes were metallic, and the bacon was overcooked and extremely hard to chew. My husband's $19 "fish and chips" contained four tiny (finger-sized) fish sticks and a small portion of shoestring fries with ketchup. They forgot the remoulade for 15 minutes despite being asked about it so by the time it came he had one cold fish stick left. Our daughter enjoyed her $21 lobster rolls and the view was lovely and the staff were friendly, but overall this was a disappointing Sunday lunch and not worth the money or the thirty minute drive all the way up the peninsula.

Beautiful setting but I agree with other reviewer... ridiculously overpriced. If we were at Daniel's in NY or Alinea in Chicago, but there was nothing here that anyone thought "this is the best bite I've ever experienced before "! Also the servers have attitude.

We visited July 20 on a Thursday evening. Not very busy. You will wait for the waiter to show at your table, you will wait a very long time for your order to be taken, you will even longer for the food to arrive at your table. Too loud, not enough waitstaff. Limited menu. Why feature Wagu beef from Omaha? Plenty of good choices in Michigan. Save your money and go elsewhere. This is one of the most overpriced restaurants I have visited. Not worth the outrageous prices.
