Visited 9/25/2022 We visited Sunday morning before the rush, but the wait staff already seemed overwhelmed and impatient. Our party of 4 was seated in a booth that wasn't really clean, and my menu was actually greasy and sticky to the point that I had to pull the pages apart. Fortunately, my friend had hand wipes to clean my hands and wipe the table. I ordered this menu item: "Quaker® steel-cut oatmeal topped with wild blueberries, blueberry sauce and fresh banana slices. Served with pecans, fresh milk and a side of freshly baked banana nut bread." My request to substitute fruit for the side order of banana bread with my meal was greeted with a terse, "the fruit comes with, anyway." But my meal came with neither fruit nor banana bread. In fact, there were no pecans or fresh milk, either, but I was afraid to ask the waitress anything more. The bowl of oatmeal was overcooked, but the thawed blueberries and 1/4 of a fresh banana made it at least palatable. My husband ordered an omelette with cheddar cheese and peppers; he was served a spinach and mushroom omelette. By the time the corrected omelette arrived which was a good size and tasted good, our friends were nearly finished with their meals. Our friends had eggs and a skillet, which were okay, but neither of which were anything to write home about. Overall, mediocre food and a rude, unhelpful server made this a disappointing outing.
We went on Thanksgiving. The first store we went to at rt 4 and the by-pass 4 had a 2 hr wait so we went to the Middletown store. Service was a little slow but with it being a holiday that's expected. The staff that was there very pleasant and polite. Food was delicious as usual. Lots of leftovers. We enjoyed our time there. I would like to thank all of the staff that did work on the holiday.
First time to this location and never again. Our waitress was super nice. The rest of the staff.. rude and disgusting. Watched one waitress keep rubbing her nose, never washed her hands. One waitress seating people just didn't even care. She wouldn't wait on the elderly couple she was seating and rushed to a table. She was rude and didn't even care about her table having a bad experience. Their food was bad and she didn't even try to make it right. Just said "I'll get it taken off". The tables were filthy, the dividers in there were covered in food splatter and the register area was dirty. The shelf where the candy was filled with dirt and nasty stuff that looks like it hasn't been wiped in weeks. The floors were disgusting. The manager just looked like he didn't care. All around horrible filthy restaurant. The staff was just standing around and no one sat us for a bit. They all saw us and looked over. But let us stand there. There was maybe 3 tables in there. They had plenty of time to clean and seat people. Don't waste your time. The food is not farm fresh. The pancakes were good. But the salad was wilted and the meat was bland. Don't waste your money
We always enjoy eating at Bob Evans. Their food is fresh and hot and a large menu to pick from. Our server was polite and friendly and she took super care of us.Food: 5/5
This was a pickup order and the food was okay, eggs were scramble or something but not over easy. Did not get my bacon, sweet potatoes were burnt. Very small portions. Normally have nothing bad to say but to many things went wrong with this order and it is not even a Monday.Food: 1/5
Some employees were just nasty, one server was picking at her mouth and not washing hands, then serving people food, I saw others doing similar things. One server was rolling her eyes at people as she sat them. When my wife and I first got there the table behind us had to ask another server for their check, turns out their server was outside smoking a cigarette, the food I ordered was wrong, and it was just a salad, but I didn't complain because who knows how it would have came back. Old nasty food all over the floors, you could hear all the servers up front talking about things you probably don't want to talk about at work, some on their phones. I've already spoken to Bob Evans about all of this.
Ordered the turkey dinner carry out. Tasted okay, but had been on the warmer a long time. Hardly ang gravy on my potatoes. The "Triple Berry Pie" was very good.
Went around 11:30 am. Had the best server that we have had since I started going to Bob Evans. The food was on point, and not to long of a wait time. Very impressive!!!!
Received a free meal for veterans day. Got the breakfast and the hash browns were slightly warm. Waitress was nice and friendly.Food: 4/5
Came in on Thanksgiving Day, They were only serving certain meals and if you didn't want breakfast at 6:30pm or their Turkey dinner, you were SOL. Our service was HORRIBLE. We were sat down, waited several minutes only to have the couple waiting behind us get seated and had their entire order taken while we were still waiting. I had to get up and find the manager just so we could get service. Then after several minutes, our server brought us our drinks, or should I say a drink. My Soda wasn't brought out, had to get up a 2nd time to ask where my soda was. Mind you, we had been seated close to 10 minutes. The couple behind us in line was seated AFTER us but ALREADY had their meal at the table while I still waited on my Mt. Dew. UNACCEPTABLE! The manager, a thin blonde woman, came over to our table and started her whole spiel about its Thanksgiving, they wanted to go home to family etc. They had 55 minutes to close and the restaurant was less than half full at that time, no excuse for poor service. REPEATEDLY, OUR SERVER WALKED BY AND ASKED IF MY WIFE NEEDED A REFILL WHILE MY GLASS SAT EMPTY. HE DID THIS ON PURPOSE, HAD TO ASK ANOTHER WAITRESS FOR REFILLS.. Will NEVER EVER BE STOPPING BY BOB EVAN'S AGAIN. Cracker Barrel gives better service. May not be open on Thanksgiving Day but it's ok, Cracker Barrel is better and Bob Evan's is horrible
