lawrence liquor will charge you a .49 surcharge on any purchase under 10 dollars that you attempt to pay by credit or atm. This is a violation of a merchant agreement between the store and Mastercard or Visa. As a consumer using either, you are protected by your credit card company and the agreement they have with the store.  If they attempt to charge you this surcharge contact Mastercard or Visa directly. For myself I contacted my bank, (Chase) (Wamu) and they were no help, and actually sided with the store.  However when I contacted Mastercard they took immediately action against this fraudulent charge.  Dont let any store do this to you.

this place has a horrible beer selection and crazy high prices.  I dont see the point in calling yourself a discount store if you have high prices.  2 six packs and a 22oz beer was $22.99...go to Safeway less than a mile away!
