I love porridge and the ones they offer here not only with variety but also taste amazing ingredients are cut into small pieces not chunky and look very fresh. Service is not very fast but still good only one person outside the kitchen. Tables and the restaurant itself are clean. I like they spread the tables with enough distance in between so you dont feel crowded. Highly recommended
During this rare cold winter in SoCal low 40°F, we were craving for some hot tasty porridge and found this famous Seoul-base chain store that offers traditional healthy Korean dishes. There were more than 15 different types of porridge and bibimbaps x10 to choose from. Price is fairly reasonable a bit less than $20/ea. At last we choose the abalone porridge, beef/Mushroom porridge and Mushroom/bulgogi bibimbap. Everything tastes A+.
Omgggggg service here is number# 1 in town. The server is very attentive, super nice, gave the best experience having food at this place. The food was also great - really clean, tasty, good portion. but i’ll absolutely come back for the service here again. Worth the money you’re paying.
My SO and I come to this little restaurant weekly! We don’t live in the area but we will drive out of our way to eat here! I wish there were more of this restaurant around. There’s just something so comforting eating Korean porridge on a lovely SoCal day. There’s a huge variety on the menu and we often see older Korean people here enjoying their food! Aside from porridge, they have stews, soups, bibimbap, and galbi. The mushroom bulgogi dolsot is absolutely delicious and definitely recommend if you are craving it. All meals are served with banchan and sometimes miso soup. The atmosphere at this restaurant is cozy and the employees are always so pleasant! If you are in the area, definitely hit this place up. If you are looking for something healthy and not feel sluggish afterwards, definitely come eat here :
Soooo tasty! I loved the abalone porridge, which was super flavorful. I also ordered the mushroom and bulgogi bibimbap. Everything was packaged well and pickup was fast after I made the call. Can’t wait to come back and try more.
Incredible meal - proving the beauty of food that seems simple, but it's prepared *perfectly* ! The porridge is silky and sublime, the kimchi like a kiss of tartness and heat that grows then gently mellows as the taste fades. Banchan radish pickles, a mild and crunchy foil for the richness of our kimchi pancake, with just the right balance of crisp and tender and chewy. One million stars! Will definitely be a must-stop when I'm in this part of town. I would have gotten a better pick but the food just disappeared because of how hungry we were . Here's all that remains of our perfect personal feast! Kid-friendliness: saw many families here! Parking: abundant parking Wheelchair accessibility: nice flat floors and a double door entrance, with easily moveable tables that are well spaced and a good height for a wheelchair.
Wonderful! Love at first bite. The aesthetics of the place is neat. Ordered the Mushroom and Bulgogi Bowl Bibimbap. It was wonderful! Truly flavorful, and seems to be cooked with clean, and quality ingredients. The service is great. Staff was friendly, and efficient. The shop itself is clean, and has a cozy feel. Wasn't able to dine in due to Covid restrictions, but had a good look of the place while waiting for my order. Truly can't wait to come back and try their other menu items, and hopefully dine in someday.
Food is good here but the wait is ridiculously long. I ordered their beef and mushroom porridge, seafood bibimbap and a soup forgot which one I ordered. There's only one server when I came with friends so it'll take a while for things to come to your table. Overall I liked it but I wish the service was better.
The costumer service is good, nice Korean food here, the taste is great and personality I think soup is better but the bibimap are good too.
Great flavors and kind service! Sometimes Korean restaurants hide bad ingredients with too much salt or spice, but not this place. Bonjuk tastes fresh and ingredients well balanced. If you’re not feeling adventurous enough for porridge, plenty of other options. I had the beef hot pot and it was killer.
