Although the store is nicely stocked the business itself is run very poorly & the owner does not treat her customers with the proper respect they deserve!! Plus they ruin the value of the books they do sell there by chopping off the corner of the cover so that you will never be able to resell it anywhere else again!! There are much better used & new book stores here in town don't waste your money at this one!!

I'm so sad there isn't a bookstore like this where I live, in Maryland. I always look forward to visiting Book Trader when I visit my grandparents in Port Charlotte, walking distance from the store. I buy a few books for vacation, at half price or better, though they're always in great shape, then sell back the ones I don't want to keep and usually put the money towards another book.

It's such a cosy little shop, and I like saying hi to the resident cat!
