It's has been awhile since I have been here. This use to be a family favorite. Now it is so outdated and needs some major updating. I went and ordered a full sheet cake for a co-workers retirement party and was truly disappointed on there choices for cake design. They are still using designs from a book straight out of the 70s. I ordered the cake a week in advance and specifically told them that I needed it to be ready for a 7am pickup. I was reassured that it would be ready and that they were open at 6:30 am. I had a coworker go pick it up and guess what, it wasn't ready. They asked him to wait. He waited for another half hour and said that he had to leave to work. He was late to work without the cake. They told him that they would deliver it for free. We are only about 7 minutes away. I called them to express my displeasure and they apologized and said the cake would arrive at 9. I told them that the party starts at 8 and that it had to be there no later than 8:15. They insisted my coworker said that 9 was ok. I reminded them that I ordered and was promised at 7am. The cake made it by 8:15 but it was dropped off at our loading dock and no one was even told. The cake was ok, not great. I had to pay extra for all of these up charges so the cake ended up costing close to $80. Next time I will save money and headaches and get the cake at Costco.

Best cakes in Seattle, they are always a hit and gone fast when brought to events. Sweet but not heavy. Breads are very light, pastries have a lot of the same taste/density. Deli counter is decent, but not the greatest experience with frozen meats. House made sauce is pretty good. Great selection of imported products, been shopping here my entire life.

Been going here since I was a kid, I distinctly remember watching cakes be decorated. It's still pretty good product, unfortunately the staff is what kills this place. The older blonde lady at the register is always in a bad mood. The folks at the bakers cases are OK if you catch one that understands English...

Never ordered a wedding cake before, he made it easy, and made the experience very enjoyable. I look forward to seeing our cake. Thanks

Chocolate bars and the glazed cake doughnuts are my favorites. When an occasion comes up for a cake, they can accommodate you same day. Ordered a red velvet with cream cheese frosting for a family gathering. Need a quick bite for lunch, have the staff grill your sandwich, panini style.
