Boston Brick & Stone redid my fireplace and chimney about a year ago.  They are very professional and did a fabulous job.  This year I was shopping around for solar and found they also do solar.  Not only did they come in as the BEST bid, but they did an amazing job.  Excellent team of workers.  I highly recommend and would hire them again if the need should arise.

I hired Boston Brick and Stone for an estimate on chimney repair 5 years ago. At the time I decided not to do the work but I wish I had. I recently hired them again for another chimney inspection due to water leaking into the house around the chimney. The inspection was very detailed with lots of pictures and explanation about the areas that were damaged. It was more expensive than I had hoped----but aren't home repairs often this way? I requested a discount and they offered a small one. This was helpful. The only thing I would say about any discounts you receive is to make sure you understand the conditions of the discount (it might be for cash only or it might exclude other offers you were planning on using).  

I am sure another company would have done less of the work and offered lower prices, but the reason i was in this mess is that a previous homeowner hired someone to rebuild the chimney and they clearly cut corners. 

While the work was not cheap, I felt VERY CONFIDENT in the quality of the work. The supervisor was amazing (Alex) and his crew were very nice and hard working. The supervisor explained the work every step of the way and showed us all that he did to make the chimney secure and usable, in addition to preventing further water from entering the house. In the end, I understood this 3 day job to be quite complex and well worth the $3000.  

I highly recommend BBS if you are looking to get quality work that is well done and thorough. If you want to skimp or cut corners to find the cheapest price, you should go elsewhere.   You might find cheaper, but I highly doubt it will match the quality of BBS.

I would highly recommend Boston Brick and Stone to anyone in need of chimney repairs or renovations.  We recently purchased a home with 3 chimneys, one of which has a double flue.  The company that did our initial chimney inspection provided recommendations for repairs, but they overlooked a number of critical things that would have made for inadequate or mediocre repairs.  Feeling uncomfortable with this I called Boston Brick and Stone and they provided us with a comprehensive review and estimate which made so much more sense.  
BB&S was professional on every level, from the owner, to the job supervisor, to the workers, to the administrative staff.  Detailed explanations were provided for each step and all of my questions were answered.  The work on the chimneys was done expertly and skillfully, with products that seemed superior.  They were on the job everyday as promised and they actually finished prior to the projected completion date.  They were careful to protect our household items, and when finished they did a great job cleaning up the work area.  Lastly, we felt the fee charged for these repairs was very reasonable as compared to another estimate we received.  
Hands down I would absolutely recommend Boston Brick and Stone as I found them to be extremely  professional, fair-minded and honest in their approach, and their quality of work superior.

I'VE BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH BOSTON BRICK & STONE FOR WELL OVER FIVE YEARS.

THEIR QUALIFICATIONS ARE IMPECCABLE AS ARE THEIR ATTENTION TO DETAIL. 

WHETHER IT BE AN EXACT REPLICATION TO CODE OF AN ORIGINAL PERIOD CHIMNEY, A CONCRETE DRIVEWAY OR BEAUTIFUL STONE WORK YOU JUST CAN'T DO BETTER ANYWHERE.

AS A GENERAL BUILDING CONTRACTOR SPECIALIZING IN OLD HOUSES, ARCHITECTURAL PRESERVATION AND HISTORIC RESTORATION I WOULDN'T EVEN CONSIDER CALLING ANYONE ELSE.

A FIVE STAR REVIEW ISN'T AN ADEQUATE REVIEW FOR THESE GUYS. THEY DESERVE AT LEAST TEN STARS.

Working with BB&S went really smoothly.  They met with us several times before starting the work to discuss the technical work that needed to be done on our chimney, and to understand the look we wanted when it was all finished.  Once the work started, they stuck to the schedule, communicated regularly about their progress, and explained what was going on.  The team was courteous and cleaned up every day. We are really pleased with the quality  and appearance of the outside fireplace, and would definitely work with BB&S again.
