Umm, free books anyone? These people are total suckers. You can just go in, get any book you want, and leave with it. They've also got an excellent selection of books on tape (I'm not sure if you still call it that if they're actually on CDs), and a huge collection of DVDs to choose from. And not just old Buster Keaton films (which are awesome) but all the good and bad movies of today as well! It's a small cozy branch, so please be aware of your hygiene before visiting. Staff are very nice and helpful. Local libraries rock!

A nice cozy local library. Very thankful for having a nearby resource that provide high quality WiFi, space to work and private study rooms. Only real complaint is there could be a few more places to comfortably sit and work on a laptop computer. The kids section is also nice, and they run some great children's programming.

Built in 1968 and then expanded in the mid 80s This library services the far south end of Boulder. The namesake was a CU professor that enjoyed to read and participate in the arts. Even after being expanded this library is far smaller than the main branch and it still shows. The librarians sit in front and their loud voices carry throughout the whole building which makes it very distracting if you are trying to read, study or do homework.

If you need a quiet place to work, this is almost tolerable. The acoustics ___carry____ like a music hall so any conversations or dropping books or clomping around or beeping sounds at the very noisy front desk is carried with pristine quality into the far corners of the library. It can be very distracting. The center room is quite awful, which is why it seems to stay empty. This could be remedied, and possibly without much expense, by cutting the speaker wire on that beeping thing and maybe adding some white-noise (keep the fans running) to lower the perceived ambient noise levels. Otherwise this library is a real gem and I enjoy visiting it.
