If you're in the mood for vegan pizza, Boxcar Pizza will not disappoint! Their Detroit inspired squares are amazing. They even offer gluten-free options for their pies! We we're thrilled we actually had leftovers! The menu has some excellent starters, including vegan drumsticks and cheezy bread. The eclectic atmosphere rounded out the experience. We really enjoyed the creators behind our meal, they were friendly and accomadating to our family's needs! Thank you!!

Yum yum yum   This 100% vegan pizza place is phenomenal. They do Detroit style pizza hard to find vegan and some AWESOME variations of garlic bread. We had the cheesy jalapeño garlic bread and a pepperoni/sausage pizza.  Both were absolutely delicious. Next time I'm back in Portland, I'll be here in a second. This is the spot for vegan pizza.

My wife can't have dairy or wheat, so pizza is usually never an option. Until NOW! This pizza stole the show and was hands down the best pizza she's had. I was really impressed and enjoyed it myself a meat eating, wheat eating, dairy lover.  Dietary restrictions: All vegan, offers Gluten Free.

Best gluten free vegan pizza hands down. The gluten free crust is unlike any I've ever had and made the Bianca pizza I ordered a 12 out of 10. My partner had the bbq pizza which was also amazing but he didn't care for the wings which are not gluten free so I can't judge them. There is minimal seating inside but there is plenty of outdoor seating that is shared by all of the food vendors.

We were wowed by this pizza! Best pizza EVER. My husband and I shared the Bianca and an order of buffalo wings for dinner. The Bianca was so delicious. It's hard to even describe the cheesy goodness. You just have to try it! The wings were fine, fairly realistic and had a lot of spice, but they were really messy and I don't think I loved wings all that much back before going vegan. I wouldn't order the wings again when those incredible pizzas are available. I can't wait to try more of the pizzas! The people working at Boxcar were super nice, and we loved the indoor/outdoor dog-friendly patio area that is shared by all the businesses in the Zipper building. You could easily order from multiple places in the building, including a cocktail bar, and eat at the shared tables.

Ohhh my DELICIOUSNESS! This is by far one of the best pizza spots in town, or anywhere I’ve tried pizza. Deep dish Detroit style pizza that’s fully vegan is hard to beat.  They also offer slices during limited hours for $5 daily which is a real treat.  Photos shown is there mozzarella & basil slice and their daily special when I went: Philly cheesesteakit was amazing.  Located in the lil Zipper, there’s a seating around inside the lil zipper that’s connected to several other small establishments so if you go with people who may not want pizza, there’s other options to meet the needs of others.  Parking can be limited but I usually park across the street very easily and walk over the busy sandy BLVD. There’s a light you can cross at.

Edit: just came back for a solo lunch date. Slice of the day cheeseburger?? Fuggettaboutit. Grabbed one of those and the new Chicken Bacon Ranch slice on special! Had to. Had to. They were ready in less than 5 minutes! Super fast lunch on the go! They were both so good! Devoured immediately. Don't forget to grab yourself napkins! Like me   I've been to Boxcar a couple times, I keep coming back! The staff is super friendly and a whole custom pizza is cooked to perfection in 10 minutes when they're not too busy.  Every time I try something new, it is truly amazing. It's hard to pick a favorite, but the cheeseburger pizza sure is up there!   Dietary restrictions: 100% Vegan

i’m visiting from nyc & i was sooo excited to see this place had all vegan deep dish pizzas my fav!! the flavors were delicious except i wasn’t too crazy about the salty black olives. the portion was huge for the price and the workers were friendly! they have good drinks too; i enjoyed the mexican coca cola. I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and now I'm mad at myself for not coming sooner. The food was mind blowing goodness. We got the Bianca and the Viktor Vaughn and both our picks and the service were amazing. The only problem I had was getting to full to be able to shove more delicious food in my pizza hole. I'll be back VERY Soon.

This place is my absolute guilty pleasure. I know I shouldn’t be eating pizza weekly and that zero percent stops me. It is my absolute favourite pizza place in Portland. And the gluten free crust is immaculate — you do not feel like you are missing out when you opt for a gluten free option, unlike most of the other pizza places around town.
