It was a gloomy day, and Brake Bread delivered on sunshine! A grapefruit-glazed cardamom loaf, berry scones, and cardamom spinners that were all delicious. Excellent service, too!

I'm WAY LATE to the party here, but Break Bread is fabulous. Leave aside the incredibly kind and generous crew that works there - the bread and baked goods are to die for!  I actually stumbled upon Break Bread one day when headed to Mojo Monkey Donuts, which I was also a bit late on, and went to check it out. The first time I went I ordered some baguettes and some chocolate croissants Pan Au Chocolate and I didn't buy enough to satiate the family at home. The second time I went I bought a few extra goodies for me to eat on the way home before showing the family what I picked up. And the stories continue...I haven't ordered a subscription service YET! but have some friends who do, and they rave about the quality and service of their delivered goods.  100% recommend.

They are very friendly and have a variety of breads to choose from. Their Pepper Pot bread is my favorite but they bake it infrequently. Today I am trying their Nacho jalapeño cheddar bread.

This is one of my favorite places in West 7th. Their baked goods are incredible. I love the almond scone but everything is amazing. Wonderful staff too.

Ok... Stopped by their newly opened storefront display at the suggestion of a kind friend yesterday. Picked up a berry scone and brioche raspberry pastry.. Those were delightful and consumed immediately. The 3 caramel pecan rolls were for this morning and sat overnight. Even after sitting in their box with a little wrap on top over night, they were still out of this world delicious. Stop by this place and get a treat. You won't be disappointed!! Also, staff was kind and helpful!!

I was a subscriber for over a year. I LOVE the concept so I wanted to love the bread but it’s so often egregiously over baked. Check out their IG and you’ll see what I mean. The pastries tend to be really good, though, especially the almond scones!

Just look at these goodies, call ahead on Saturdays and thanks the genius of these people. Also, they are cycling focused so nothing could be better. Except maybe beer and pretzels here, but that seems challenging...

Without a doubt this is the best bakery in the Twin Cities. The staff is very friendly and helpful and everything here is delicious.

I am new to St. Paul and a professional chef. I am absolutely delighted to have discovered this gem! I met a kind and lovely woman today named Melinda who assisted me this morning. The other staff were extremely friendly and appeared very happy with the work they were doing. I do not like grocery store bread and was looking for a good Artisan Bakery. Well, I have found the best. They will be my go-to for all of my bread needs. So excited to explore their other flavors. I highly recommend anyone looking for quality artisan bread to visit brake bread. They are absolutely phenomenal!

Their pastries are good, but their bread is AMAZING! Ate almost the entire loaf in one sitting the first time I visited their shop. Love it
