One week ago my children and grandchildren arranged a small private party at this "gem" to celebrate my 80th birthday.  From the moment I arrived to the time I left, it was pure pleasure.  The interior was tastefully decorated, inviting and comfortable.  We had the entire restaurant to ourselves and were seated in the front dining room.  Our waiter was Derek who took us on a tour where to met Carl who was the owner and chef.  My children left the menu to him and we had eight courses of perfection.  Every presentation was beautifully executed and outdid the one before.  Example.....I would describe the heavenly gnocchi as "velvet pillows."  By the time we finished off dessert, everyone was contented and well pleased.  I look forward to returning again and wish them continued success.

My absolute most favorite place in Central Connecticut!  The food, service, and atmosphere are all out of this world!  This is an absolute must try.  Would give it six starts if I could!

Intimate atmosphere and amazing food. Hands down one of the best meals I have had. Everything was fresh and made right then. Homemade pasta and gnocchi was delicious. The menu changes every 4 weeks so make sure to check the website. Waitstaff was attentive and very very friendly. The back story of the house as a jail gives the place even more character. Highly recommended.

Went last night for dinner, this place blew my expectations out of the water! I could not believe how phenomenal the food was! The food tasted great, the presentation was incredible, the atmosphere was perfect, and the staff was lovely! Definitely recommending to everyone I know and will be returning soon!

One of a kind date night. If you are looking for a place to impress a date, this is it. Food choices are constantly changing and never disappoint.
