Please never lie to your customers. They usually have the most delicious croissants in Brooklyn. Today, I asked the lady if the croissants were fresh because they looked like yesterday's. She said yes and sold it to me, but she lied. It was a disgusting croissant, I would prefer to come later to buy a fresh one.
They have so many baked goods that it was unbelievably amazing. I highly recommend them to get your bread, pastries and cakes as well.Food: 5/5
Cheese Muffin was okay! Thought it would be much more flavorful. Cashier was super nice though.
Many of the reviews mention that this place is really pricey and unfortunately I have to agree. But with that being said, the pastries are absolutely out of this world. I haven’t had a single pastry that I didn’t love. I usually go on Sundays so I doubt that they are freshly baked but honestly I can’t tell a difference. You can’t go wrong with any of the pastries. And the people there are so nice! Every single time I come in with my son, he gets a free cookie and that definitely keeps me coming back as well. There are a lot of bakeries on Ave M and you have your pick of the litter but I only go to Breadsmith!
Such a cute store! I never knew how much things are made of bread...
Staff friendly and defintely refreshinh to see aridsn breads, brioche. Pretzel loaf, whole wheat challah, dalt free , pretzels, oretzel buns, challah, assorted options. Not normal kosher bakery, yes , had some familiar cakes, pastries but its the quality and selection that gem among the other bakeries. Will travel 30 or more miles to stock up when in town. Try it!
Great choice of Kosher bread, rolls, challah and pastries
I have been going to Breadsmith on Avenue M for over 5 years. Their products are delicious, but their service has reached an all time low! I always go on Fridays, morning or early afternoon. Over the past 6 months their service has gotten progressively horrible! The employees are young, untrained, and simply do not care. And it was not a fluke on a bad day. It is consistently bad. Whether the employees are on their phone with personal calls while there’s a line of people, or they over charge because they do not know their products, or they leave half the items out of the bag… the list goes on. There seems to be no manager around or simply anyone who cares. I hate that I am writing this review. I literally never leave a bad review anywhere! I love their products and have gotten many of my friends to become regulars. As someone who manages people and a business, I know I would never tolerate this level of incompetence. And I would be grateful to anyone letting me know. My experience has gotten so bad that I am afraid I can longer be a customer. Which is a big shame because they have great products. And I know from speaking to other customers the frustrations are equally shared. I really hope they can get it together.
No signage indicated a closure, website and Google listing indicates the shop is open, however it is not. Waste of time.Food: 1/5
