I called this company during this past Winter to have a fuse box converted over to circuit breakers.  A man named Kevin Breen,  who  is owner of this company,   showed up for an estimate on a Saturday and stated that he would provide me  a written proposal the following week.   The following week came and Kevin failed to produce this written proposal even after speaking with him twice.  He kept informing me that he was working on it and I would receive it.  Mind you he had told me that his price for replacing the fuses with breakers was 1800 dollars which I felt was very reasonable.  After two weeks of not receiving a proposal I had to find another electrician.   I had gone with one of his competitors whose  price was actually cheaper at 1450 dollars.  His competitor did everything legally including notifying Con Ed and the Buildings Department.  Upon his completion of the new breaker box, both Con Ed and the Buildings Department inspected the work which was approved.  My point is why Kevin  Breen wasted his time and mine if he never intended to do the job in the first place.   I would never call or ever recommend  this company again for any work as Kevin Breen is a totally unprofessional business man.  I noticed that he accused another negative reviewer as trashing him.  It's like the Japanese accusing you of trashing them if you state that on December 7, 1941,  they launched an unprovoked sneak attack on Pearl Harbor.  Recalling the incident is fact and not trashing them.  This guy wasted my time and everything stated above is a fact.  He is not the cheapest and that also is a fact.

Sent and email on Sunday night.  I called Monday morning and spoke with someone and explained the situation, they informed me that someone would call me back.   On Tuesday evening I called and left a voice message to follow up.   Never heard back from anyone no phone call or email.

Great service and a job well done! Breen installed a video intercom system in our 9-unit condo building in Brooklyn. The entire building was renovated and sold as new, however, the sponsor sold us a lemon of an intercom that never worked properly. After 18 months of trying to have the situation remedied we decided to cut our losses as a building at install an intercom on our own.

Kevin Breen was professional, courteous, timely and his staff did a great job of the install. They took care of our property and left no messes for us to deal with. After the struggle to try and remedy the original intercom with the sponsor we were looking for a hassle-free, honest firm to do the job. Breen was all of that and more. Their price was fair compared to the other bids we received and we are hiring them again for another project this month.

As a former electrician who can no longer perform the work myself, I found Breen Electrical to exceed my "contractor" expectations.  The problem:  blinking lights.  After multiple visits from Con Ed and another electrical firm doing some work at a neighbors' house, both recommended that we replace the line from the street.  We had the firm working at the neighbors' house do the work.  Unfortunately the problem remained.  I prefer to hire local people so I searched around the neighborhood and came across Breen Electrical and decided to give them a chance.  Not only did they fix some of the work from the previous company, they spent a fair amount of time diagnosing the problem.  End result we needed to replace the fuse box.  Breen completed the job with care, thoroughness and utmost professionalism - all at a very reasonable rate.  Kevin's personal attention to detail and willingness to "listen" to a former electrical guru proved to me that he's running a company that takes pride in their work.  I highly recommend his firm for your electrical needs.
