If your looking for a datenight that consist of live music this could be the place for you. Location offered VIP which gets you closer seating to the stage and band. Drinks and food was reasonable pricing. Downside was how long it took for the food to come out considering we just ordered a appetizer BUT when it did come we enjoyed the garlic wings. Parking is behind the building and across the street allowing adequate amount of parking. Band was great and interacted with the crowd..
The food tasted great and was hot and fresh. The waiter was so attentive and the food came out very quickly. The drinks were perfect and the music was amazing. Me and my family had a blast. The atmosphere is very suitable for a jazz club. It was very laid back and chill. This is gem in Jacksonville.
I appreciate that they support local jazz scene in Jacksonville. However, everything else was disappointing. Came in on a Friday night. The price was outrageous as if it was a high end establishment, with a cover of $35 per person and $28 for salmon. The salmon was dry, on a bed of white rice with some pickled tomatoes on top and NO VEGETABLES. I had to order veggies separately with extra charge. And the side of collard greens felt like it was microwaved out of a can. My date was vegetarian, and there were no vegetarian options even though the website showed an option online menus is inaccurate. They ended up putting the side of green beans on a bed of white rice. The carrots tasted like frozen carrots, green beans were covered in butter and salt with no flavor. Service was slow and inattentive. I'm aware there's staff shortage, however, there wasn't even any attempt in service even though she walked by me a few times-not even offering water. The whole place seem very run down compare to the high-end impression the website gives. The color lights were constant on stage, incredibly distracting. When the band is not playing, the background music was loud and would cut out once every minute. There's no dress code. The lady's toilet doesn't flush. Been to better jazz clubs that offers much better food with way lower cover. Would not return.
Great food. Amazing atmosphere. Just be aware of the cover after 9 pm. If your comfortable with a cover and live music. This is a spot for you!!
We went to see a show at 7pm the show was great after the show ended at 818 they threw us out literally ask us to leave and if you were buying food that they will bring us a to go container and I only had one drink the whole night never got to see The waiter back at our table too busy and could not handle it When she finally came back we got our tickets it took another 30 minutes and did not bring us a pen to sign there goes your tip I blame management a Saturday night show you have people dressed up paid $40 to come see a Show Barely got are food and drinks to the table By the time it came to the table it was time to go .and you throw us out. poor business Your money is not in the show it was in the drinks and food that people was willing to drink and spend Is on a Saturday night. that What's the worst experience I've had. everyone was very disappointed.
My husband and I really enjoyed our first time at Breezy Jazz House. The atmosphere was so relaxed and laid back. The live band was excellent. Our waitress, Dominique took great care of us. The food was delicious and everything was reasonably priced. The owner, Ms.Thea Jeffers was just as sweet, professional and took time out to converse with us and made us feel welcomed. Thank you from Mr. & Mrs. Chase
The lady at the door was snotty and flip at the mouth on July 16,2022. My husband and I went for his birthday. At my urging I wanted to make reservations to make sure that we get a table. The person at the door told us that it was first come first serve. Our seating was not satisfactory, her attitude stunk and we were angry at how we were handled. The seating arrangements are amateurish and horrible. We came in with such good moods after having drinks before coming and ready to enjoy live music which was WAY too loud for such a tiny building. I am sure that it was in the red if measured on a decimal scale. We had to scream And this lady ruined our moods with her rudeness. Three minutes after arriving she already was snotty! I was thinking like we just came through the door smiling and giving off good energy and this is the attitude we get in return? Maybe our happiness offended her, I don't know. This was our first and last time at this new location. Won't be returning or mentioning this place as a suggestion to anyone because of the hostess. UPDATE:: The owner reached out to me and made things right. I think highly of business owners such as Ms. Thea. My husband and I along with a few friends visited again and had a great time.
This place was WOW! I was hesitant choosing a place to go after reading all these reviews but I’m a huge New Orleans and jazz fan so we tried it out. Eric and the band had some SERIOUS TALENT. I’m still blown away the next morning by how amazing this band was. Our waitress, Tina, was very attentive and considerate. Wings were ok, steak was good, shrimp cocktail was the best thing we got. But GO FOR THE MUSIC!!!! Will def be back and will bring my parents here.
We so wanted this place to be awesome. $35 cover charge. It was NOT.We arrived early service was slow.. It got worse once the show startedthe band was good The guy that’s the comedian was awful the service was extremely slow as the grow grew. Such a SHAME it’s a beautiful club with so much potential. I hope they succeed.
My husband bought VIP tickets for a date night surprise and unfortunately our experience was far below our expectations. The only thing special about VIP is you sit closer to the stage. It took over an hour for one appetizer, we never received entrees after waiting for another 2 hours, we had to chase them down for the check, and the menu was overpriced 2 shots, 2 mixed drinks and shrimp cocktail that only had 5 shrimp was $80. Maybe we'll retry in the future but we'll definitely be eating and drinking beforehand.
