About

My shop offers customers a variety of health foods, gluten-free and local foods,as well as natural personal care products and cleaners.

Story

Brenda's Natural Foods is located on West Dominick Street in Rome, right next door to the historic Capitol Theatre. The shop is small and packed full of healthy and gourmet foods including many locally produced items. Emphasis is placed on gluten-free offerings as more people realize they are sensitive to this protein present in wheat, barley and rye.

Brenda is fantastic and so is her store. She sells a wide variety of local goods and produce. Brenda also has a cafe and offers various options (my personal favorite is the super Donald salad). I've been to other health food stores in the area, but there is something special and charming about Brenda's!

I loved all the organic materials they sell here. It will become a bit costly but we'll worth it. The store is always clean and welcoming and Brenda is very friendly fast and courteously polite. Stop in sometime. You won't be disappointed.

They have the best antipasto salad I've ever had in my life. They also offer a welcome selection of locally sourced organic foods for carnivores and herbavores alike, though selection varies seasonally.

I love Brenda's Natural Foods store! She is local and supports local. Her organic plants are amazing and I will buy again, they are hearty and healthy. The prices of things reflect our economy and she is well within the competition. I enjoy shopping there everytime! I love the Turmeric Soaps. Mercedes

Quaint health food store in small downtown Rome, with a quiet kitchen like dining area. Healthy choices, soups, salads, sandwiches, and smoothies. Smoothies were good, very small, (palm sized Dixie cups) with an average size price of $3.99 and up for specials. I ordered the black bean salad, romaine lettuce, (advertised spinach too, but none there). It was a homemade burger, nothing spectacular (a little dry around edges and mushy on the inside) wished it hadn't been garnished with mayonnaise on top. I asked for the chipotle dressing on the side, decent, just don't prefer dressings. The rest of my party ordered sandwiches, they were mediocre in size, with less than a handful of chips. I think the overall idea is fantastic, the atmosphere was homey, and the options were plentiful with nutritious ingredients. The prices were high for the portion sizes. I would return, just maybe try something different.
